"Hey sis!" Allen pouted and acted like a child.

"Okay, okay! I won't say it anymore, okay?" Ranita laughed and said to him, "If I really divorce your cousin, will you still consider me your sister-in-law?"

Allen widened his eyes slightly.

He shook his head.

"No!" Allen pouted and grumbled in anger.

"You dare!" Ranita raised her hand and almost slapped him but luckily Allen remedied the situation by saying, "If you don't want to be my sister-in-law anymore, then you'll be my sister!"

Ranita was amused by his antics.

After chatting for a while, Allen seemed to have something on his mind as he kept looking at his phone but hesitated to speak up.

"Do you have something to say?"

"Are you online right now?"

Allen shook his head. "It's nothing. I'm so bored here. Can we go out for lunch? My skin injury won't affect me from eating properly anyway. Besides, the nurse is going on break soon so she won't care about me! After lunch I'll come back right away."

"Please! I'm begging you," pleaded Allen.

Ranita had no choice but to give in after asking the nurse first before taking Allen out for lunch with her at a seafood restaurant that he picked out himself.

"This restaurant is famous around here," said Allen as they ordered lots of delicious food. "Luckily we came early or else there wouldn't be any seats left! Order whatever you like. It's on me."

Was this where Brendon wanted to take her? Too bad Brendon always stood her up.

Ranita ate very little while Allen had an insatiable appetite; within minutes their table was filled with various leftovers scattered all over.

Halfway through their meal, Allen glanced at his phone again.

"Dang it! Shannon is too much!" Finally unable to hold back any longer, he carefully looked at Ranita before saying, "... I'm sorry."

"No need to apologize."

Allen explained, "Someone leaked Shannon's whereabouts in Qaesburg online. She was harassed by a sasaeng fan until Brendon protected her and took her back home."

"... I think Shannon is wrong. Even though she used get along well with Brendon before, now she inexplicably got involved in your marriage which isn't fair."

As he spoke these words of concern towards Ranita's feelings, he lowered downcast eyes letting out a sigh, "Please don't feel sad okay?"

Ranita pursed her lips and took a deep breath before speaking, her voice weak. "Allen, actually Brendon and I have already signed the divorce papers."

"Ah..." Allen was shocked by this news and couldn't find his bearings. "Why didn't anyone tell me?"

Although Allen was from the Stuarts, he wasn't Amiya's child and didn't have a close relationship with Holly either, so it was normal that no one told him.

"When did this happen?"

"It's been some time," Ranita said with a light laugh. "Allen, you'll have to call me sister from now on."

Allen looked at Ranita with an uneasy expression on his face before nodding heavily. "Okay! I'll call you sister from now on."

"Ranita, you're so beautiful and capable that even if you've divorced my cousin, you'll definitely find an amazing partner in the future," Allen said maturely as he raised his tea cup to toast her.

Then he said something unexpected to Ranita, "When I recover from my injury and make more money, I'm going to pursue you!"

Ranita choked on her water at this statement but eventually regained her composure enough to scold him sternly, "You little bastard!"
