Chapter 1722
"Ahem." Draco cleared his throat loudly just then. "After thorough investigation, we have concluded that Mr. Lawrence has been brought here to Blackwater on trumped-up charges. While we have never released any intimates, you are no criminal, and with the vouching of one of Draconia's top individuals, we will bend the rule this one time."
Then, leaning toward Frank, he whispered, "Please don't blame me for this. The whole thing was thought up by Droitner Inc. Also, try to keep a low profile after you get out."
"Ahem."
After that, Draco cleared his throat again. "You are now free to go, Mr. Lawrence."
"What...?"
"Oh, can't help it when he's such a big deal."
"Even Blackwater doesn't get to keep him. And, one of Draconia's top individuals? Don't tell me it's the president?"
While the inmates all had a feeling this might happen, they all still gasped when the warden announced that Frank could leave, turning toward him with looks of jealousy and envy.
Frank smiled and nodded at Draco in turn. "In that case, I must thank you, Mr. Warden."
"Oh, you don't have to..."
Draco smiled in return, but it was a pained smile-releasing Frank was basically breaking a taboo, and he would most definitely not get away with this if the higher-ups pressed the issue.
"Well then. We shall be leaving right away." Frank chuckled, flexing his limbs as he strode out of the cell.
"Who's 'we'...?"
Draco was left stumped but quickly realized who Frank meant when he turned toward Silverbell, laughing. "Oh! Well then, have a safe trip, Mr. Lawrence..."
That was when Frank looked elsewhere and said, "What are you spacing out for? We're leaving!"
Scarface Tucker, who had been staring at Frank enviously as he left, found Frank turning and staring at him, bemused.
"Wait, are you referring to me?" Scarface pointed at himself, bewildered.
"Him?!" Draco was stunned too.
"Yes, you." Frank stared at him, raising a brow. "Aren't you Terry Cotton's close friend? Well, I am too, so it's only right I take you with me, no?" "Yeah, but..."
Various expressions alternated over Scarface's face, and he eventually spaced out in confusion, unsure if he should follow Frank or refuse. Draco soon recovered, however, and hurried to stop Frank. "M-Mr. Lawrence... Absolutely not!"
"What?" Frank shoved him away in disdain, a stark contrast to when they were patting each other on the backs er. "I'm just taking that
man with me. What's the problem?"

Draco could cry right then, and he rasped, "I'm already breaking the rules by letting you out, Mr. Lawrence! If the grand commissioner finds out, l-I'll
He mimed being slashed across the neck.
"How many heads do you have?" Frank suddenly asked.
It was certainly a bizarre question, leaving Draco stumped. "O-One? Why would you ask that, Mr. Lawrence?"Content rights by NôvelDr//ama.Org.
"You'll lose your head if you free one
inmate anyway," Frank retorted in
amusement. "What, is the grand commissioner going to grow you
another head just to chop it off?"
