Chapter 13 – The Secret of Elite 10 (9th Seat)
Ashleigh’s POV
The whole day ended up with me avoiding that Calux. He was my classmate in my three classes, he became my headache. Fortunately, the class is over. He was just arrogant every time he became my classmate. both him and his fiancee. He is an arrogant one while the other is a spoiled brat. they think they are the most perfect students here… And he thinks he is the most excellent student here, Well indeed he is really best at being a source of arrogance.
I just stay away from that Calux every time pride hits him again. I gasped, Good thing now I’m already in the dorm with Stheno and Shreya.
“I heard, Calux seems to be bragging with you ah?” said Shreya.
“Yes, I don’t know why he always bragging with me.” annoyed I said.
“Here, take this calming drink.”
We smiled when Stheno handed us the Rosemary tea she had made.
“By the way, Elgin was annoyed earlier too, when he founds out that Calux will be his classmate in his two classes.” laughed Shreya
I just laughed as well at what Shreya said and then drank the tea Stheno gave us.
“Ahh, I can really relax.” Stheno and I said at the same time.
We both laughed when we noticed that we said that at the same time.
“Did you know Ash, that Stheno was not in the mood earlier when her cousin became our classmate today?” said Shreya.
“You mean, in your first class?” I asked.
“Yes, Stheno did come out earlier but her cousin chased her… I was about to follow them but Stheno didn’t want to.” Shreya’s said while pouting.
“Shreya… nothing happened when she and I came out of the class.” laughed Stheno.
Stheno stared at me while smiling.
She seems to be saying that I should keep a secret what I saw earlier when she was with her cousin. I just nodded and smiled at her, it looks like she got what I mean by that.
I looked up as I thought about what my family was doing right now. I miss them …
I wonder what are they doing now? Do they miss me too? I haven’t received a text from my older brother for a week. Maybe my older brother is busy, Daddy also can’t reach as well as mommy too… I sent a message to them. they just replied that I should always be careful … I have a lot that I wanted to tell them but, maybe when everything is okay and they are no longer busy.
I sighed and drink my rosemary tea.
‘I wish I could see them even for a second.’
“By the way, I received a letter from a pigeon.” Shreya said standing up immediately to pick up the mysterious letter she was saying.
“Who did it come from?” Stheno asked.
“I haven’t read it yet because think there is some kind of dark spell placed in this letter.” Shreya replied.
Shreya handed the envelope to Stheno which Stheno immediately opened.
“Aren’t you doubting that letter might be some kind of trapped?” I asked in astonishment.
“No, I’m used to opening letters and I know how it feels when a message is cursed so that is why I immediately opened it because I felt nothing wrong presence place inside it.” Stheno explained.
She immediately opened the letter, I was surprised because there was nothing in it.
“A blank piece of paper?” I said while staring at the blank paper.
“It’s not just a blank piece of paper.” Stheno said seriously.
“Shreya you get lukewarm water.” Stheno ordered Shreya to immediately take warm water.
There are only hidden messages here and the deliverer is still a pigeon.Content is © by NôvelDrama.Org.
“Here you go.” smiling Shreya said as she handed the water to Stheno.
“Now Ash, watch this.” said Stheno.
Stheno immersed the paper in water.
Until little by little the message can be seen written on the paper, it is a long message. Stheno read it aloud.

“Who is Prince Demian?” I asked the two of them.
“Ahh, Prince Demian. He is one of the princes here at the Academy, and he is also one of a member of Elite 10.” Shreya replied. “He’s in the tenth seat in Elite 10.” Shreya added.
“Really?!” I said in surprise.
“Indeed he is.” Stheno replied.
“We have pictures of our members in Elite 10.” said Shreya.
“Can I see?” I asked him.
“Sure, wait I’ll just get it.”
Shreya stood up and took the photo album under the TV rack. When he got it, She handed me the gray photo album.
“Every year we take a photo of each of our members and this is the newest.” Shreya opened the photo album in the last part.
“There are numbers listed above, which means that is the number of their seats.” Stheno explained.
Calux’s emotionless face can be seen in the first photo, followed by Stheno’s serious face, and the snobbish face of Stheno’s cousin Atlas. I pointed to the woman next to Atlas. the woman with wavey hair and colored black hair.
“Who is this woman?” I asked the two of them.
“That’s Madison Eve, my cousin’s best friend. Next up is Elgin, and this is Trison. My cousin’s cousin on her dad’s side.” Stheno explained.
I continued to open it until I stopped at a picture of a man with mirrored white hair and no emotion.
“That’s Demian.” I was surprised because Stheno suddenly spoke.
I was stunned by the man they were referring to as Demian. if you look at them they look like Calux except for him wearing glasses.
“Demian is in the tenth seat.” Stheno added.
I turned back a page of the photo album. I just noticed… why there are only 9 of them.
“Who is sitting in the ninth seat?” I asked in astonishment.
They both can’t answer obviously they don’t want to answer my question.
“Guys? Answer me. Who’s sitting in the ninth seat?” I asked urgently.
They both stared at each other gasping for breath.
“Look Ash … We really can’t answer your questions.” the fear was evident in the tone of Stheno’s speech.
“But why? Aren’t we friends? Why do you have to keep a secret from me? Can’t you trust me?” I asked them.
”It is not like that Ash. We can’t really talk about that thing.” worried Stheno explained.
“Sorry, Ash.” Shreya said while looking down.
I was so bitten on my lip.
“You don’t want to tell me because I’m just a NOOB, right? Because I’m just an amateur at this school.” I said.
I was about to enter my room when Stheno stopped me and spoke up.
“It’s not like that Ash, It’s just… It is strictly prohibited to talk about that thing.” Shreya said.
“Okay, I’ll tell you, just promise me that you have nothing to say about what you will know.” Stheno said seriously.
“I promise.” I said and drew a cross on my chest and raised my right hand.
“No one has been sitting in the ninth seat for a long time.” said Stheno.
“What? Why?” I asked.
“The ninth seat in Elite 10 is believed to have a curse.”
“Legend has it that before there was no Elite 10, there was only Council in this Academy. When Elite 10 was just starting to form a group from different Attuneds who has an outstanding performance here in this Academy… they were all complete, someone was sitting in the ninth seat then.”
“It didn’t take long for the woman sitting in the ninth seat to feel like she was possessed by some kind of evil spirit, she started doing things that were against this school. She slowly killed those in the Elite 10 seats.”
I can not believe, that there is a curse in that seat?
“Who killed the woman there? I mean you know of course if there was a curse and you found out so no one was sitting there now, does that not mean someone stopped her? Or someone killed her?” I said.
“Someone killed the woman.” said Shreya.
“Who?” I asked in surprise.
“The man who promised her that he would never hurt her.” Stheno said seriously.
“Seriously?! How did the man kill her?” I asked again.
“The man stabbed her as she was turned her back, that man was none other than the one in the first seat of Elite 10.” said Stheno.
“They love each other even though they are always arguing… they can’t hurt each other but if the woman had not been possessed by an evil spirit, the man would have been happy.” Stheno continued.
“Since then, no one is sitting there so just leave that seat vacant.” said Shreya.
I have nothing to say about what I found out, what I found out is very jaw-dropping.
“Don’t tell anyone about what you found out okay?” smiling Stheno said.
I immediately nodded and smiled at her.
‘I wonder who was that woman and who was the man who killed her?’
