Chapter 140 Let My Wife Pick Me up

Boris rubbed his temples and waved to Nell.

“Are you going home, Mr. Lewis?” Nell walked over.

“I’m drunk,” he said, looking at him.

Nell looked into his dark and deep eyes, and no matter how he looked, he didn’t seem drunk

But he still said, “Mr. Lewis, shall I take you home?”

“I’m drunk.” Boris repeated expressionlessly.

Nell’s mouth twitched. “Alright, Mr. Lewis, you’re drunk.”

Boris paused for a moment, “I want to go home.”

“Then let me take you.” Nell dutifully said because Boris is a bit drunk as his temper had become even stranger.

“Who asked you to take me?” Boris glared at him, “Call my wife and ask her to pick me up.”

His wife?

Nell was quite shocked. This is property © of NôvelDrama.Org.

He glanced suspiciously at Boris and cleared his throat, “Mr. Lewis, are you referring to Miss Scott?”

Boris tugged at his collar irritably. “Are you going to call or not?”

Nell didn’t quite understand what was going on today.

If he remembered correctly, when he went to pick up Mr. Lewis, he had that look of wanting to eat people, like he had just had an argument with Miss Scott.

Miss Scott was not like before, now she wouldn’t bother with him even if they didn’t argue. If they did argue, would

she care whether he was drunk or not?

Nell originally wanted to advise him not to disgrace himself, but when Nell met his disdainful gaze, he immediately

held his tongue.

He cleared his throat and dialed Ziana’s number.

“Put it on speakerphone,” Boris suddenly reminded him.

Nell quickly complied.

“Beep-”

After a few seconds.

“Sorry, the user you dialed is currently switched off, please try again later. Sorry, the number…”

Nell looked embarrassed, his toes almost digging through the floor. “Um, Mr. Lewis, Miss Scott’s phone is off.”

“I heard that!” Boris chuckled with irritation, “You take me home.”

Nell kept his eyes down, afraid to even breathe, and said, “Yes!”

Half an hour later.

Nell supported Boris and stood at the door of Room 606.

“I’ll go in by myself.” Boris suddenly said.

He remembered that before he left, Ziana was wearing thin, her graceful figure wrapped in a nightgown, enticing and

tempting.

Nell didn’t understand, but seeing him like this, he couldn’t help but say worriedly, “Mr. Lewis, are you sure you can manage on your own?”

Boris pushed him away, swiped his card to enter the room, and solemnly repeated, “Don’t follow me in.”

He opened a small gap and slipped in, casually closing the door, leaving Nell baffled.

What was he doing?

Why was Boris acting like he was guarding against a thief?

Inside the room.

The bedside lamp that had been left on before he left was still lit, emitting a dim light.

Boris glanced at the woman on the floor, who was still in the same position as when he left, not even moving a

muscle.

He stared at her for a while, seeing her sleeping peacefully, and the anger in his heart had completely dissipated.

At that moment, Ziana, who was sleeping, frowned and sensed something, and slowly opened her eyes.

She saw him, first startled, then looked him up and down with a confident tone, “Did you drink alcohol?”

Boris nodded.

He thought about the past three years, every time he came home drunk, she would take care of him very gently. She would help him to bed, take off his shoes, wipe his hands and feet for him, and then feed him hangover soup. Every time, her tone was full of tenderness and love. “You should drink less in the future. Drinking too much will make

you

uncomfortable and hurt your stomach. I’ll make you some soup later.”

Boris thought about it and said with anticipation, “Yeah, I drank, I drank a lot.”

“Oh.” Ziana sat up, “I smell the alcohol.”

“I’m drunk.” He said, his dark eyes fixed on her, like an indistinct ink.

Ziana frowned, “If you’ve been drinking, go sleep outside. I can’t stand the smell of alcohol, you’re making me

nauseous here.”

“What?”

Boris hoped that she would hug him and take care of him like she used to, but what did she say? Asking him to sleep outside? And saying he smelled disgusting?

“Well, I’ll go outside then.” While he was still in disbelief, Ziana made a decision and stood up.

Boris watched as she approached, and when she passed by him, he grabbed her wrist.

Ziana looked at him with puzzled beautiful eyes.

He had intended to ask her why she was being so cruel, but looking into her tired eyes, he suddenly smiled.

He casually licked his lips, “You stay here, and I’ll go outside.”

After finishing what he had to say, Boris turned around and walked away, stumbling in his steps. He quickly left through the door, leaving Nell outside with wide eyes and a stunned expression. The two stood in silence, wordless, facing each other.

Nell blurted out, “Mr. Lewis, did you get kicked out?”

Boris glared at him, “You’re the only one with a big mouth?”

Nell quickly lowered his eyes and acted obediently.

Boris was filled with anger, and he kicked Nell and said, “Go to book a room for me.”
