Chapter 408 Choose Who to Survive

Chapter 408 Choose Who to Survive

There was only a single photograph above.

Ziana was bound to a chair, her eyes covered with a black cloth, appearing disheveled and pitiable, drenched from head to toe.

Boris could barely hold the phone in his hand.

Upon witnessing this, Nell quickly stepped over, helping to catch it, and asked, perplexed, “Mr. Lewis?”

Boris paid no attention, took a deep breath, his face frosty and composed, and swiftly dialed the number back.

The other person answered promptly.

It was an unfamiliar voice. After reporting the time and address in one sentence, warning him that only one person was allowed to come, the person simply hung up the phone.

Boris squeezed the phone tightly, wanting to crush it.

Sensing the heavy atmosphere around him, Nell tentatively inquired, “Mr. Lewis, what… What’s happening?”

Boris handed him the phone.

After finishing reading, Nell looked at Boris with increasing concern and questioned. “Could this be a fabrication?”

“Whether it is true or false, time is running out. I’ll drive over first, and you stay here to handle a few things.” Boris responded, forcefully pulling Nell away from the driver’s seat, starting the car, and giving

instructions. “First, confirm the truth of Mrs. Lewis’ disappearance. Second, use the SkyEye system to locate Sean. Third, inform our people to rush for support.”

“Understood! Mr. Lewis, you can trust me! I’ll take care of it right away!” Nell assured.

Having been by Boris’ side for a long time, Nell was very familiar with his way of doing things.

Boris glanced at Darlene, who had fainted in the back seat, deep in thought, and pressed down on the accelerator.

On the way, Nell called to report the situation.

“We couldn’t reach Mrs. Lewis. Upon learning this, the Scott family sent reinforcements.” Nell informed.

“What about Sean?”

Previously, Boris had assigned someone to track Sean, but Sean was highly vigilant and had people. guarding him in the dark.

To avoid exposure and suspicion, Boris ordered a halt to the tracking and instead activated the SkyEye system.

“The SkyEye system captured him getting into a car after leaving a café, and he hasn’t been seen since. However, he was with Vivi at the time, and she was wearing that diamond necklace today. We tracked and located her, and it turns out she’s in the same place you’re heading to, Mr. Lewis.”

After being hospitalized due to an acid attack, Vivi lay despondent in bed every day, keeping the troublesome diamond necklace hidden away.

Upon hearing this, Boris roughly understood the whole situation.

His expression turned cold, and a wave of raging anger surged within him as he forcefully slammed his palm on the steering wheel.

Round and round they went, and unexpectedly, victory slipped through their fingers!

An hour and a half later.

Boris, driving at full speed, arrived at the given address.

This place was located at the junction between Japera City and a neighboring town, an area dominated by abandoned chemical factories.

During the earlier years of industrialization, there was once a period of prosperity that gradually declined and fell into decay. Numerous factories closed one after another, resulting in increasing abandonment. Nowadays, highly flammable and explosive materials could be found scattered everywhere.

Boris gradually slowed down his vehicle as he was driving. Suddenly, he spotted a group of individuals armed with submachine guns up ahead.

They aimed their firearms at him, gesturing for him to stop the car and get out.

Boris turned off the engine and opened the driver’s door, stepping out.

The crowd automatically made way for him, but instead, he proceeded to open the rear door and wake Darlene up, forcefully pulling her out.

Darlene’s sudden appearance left everyone present bewildered. Unfazed, Boris kept her behind him and led the way into the abandoned factory.

Inside the factory, lights were on, but it was deserted. Only two chairs were placed in the middle of the ground floor. Published by Nôv'elD/rama.Org.

Ziana occupied one chair while Vivi sat on the other.

Boris stood still, unmoving.

As Vivi noticed his approach, she shouted, “Boris! Boris, save me!”

Ziana looked up, unable to see but sensing the weight of someone’s eyes fixed upon her.

A round of applause sounded, followed by a sinister voice. “Mr. Lewis, choose one. Whom shall you let survive?”
