The Last Ceo’s Deal

Chapter 65: Third party’s enemy

CHAPTER 65

Fanuel.

Tell me this is not happening!

I stare at the file and documents again and even bring it closer to my face to be sure of what I’m seeing but it’s the same thing.

I reached for the water beside me and gulped it at once.

I think I feel hot so I loosened my tie a bit.

I almost sank to the ground when Celine told me that Christine already signed the contract papers the company is supposed to use for the project!

No!! The whole board members heard that shit loud and clear.

I wish I never knew her signature then I would have concluded that someone is trying to frame her or someone else did it.

This is her fucking signature!!

Does she have a freaking company to do that?

“Meeting dismissed, I apologize for wasting your time. I will schedule a date for the next one.”

I said coyly knowing how stupid I sound right now. A sharp pain slices through my head and I wince.

The investors all left and I watched how Mirabel’s dad gave me a pitiful nod.

They were going to vent all their insults and frustrations on the media, their silence was just a notice.

I was going crazy!!

“What’s happening?” Jay was the first person to ask while I took off my jacket and dismissed my staff except Celine.

Something isn’t right, no matter how my head is screaming that Christine signed the damn papers.

God!! Is this how the company will end?

“Speak up!” I directed the words to Christine as she shook in fear.

I couldn’t even recognise my own voice.

“I’m sorry but your wife asked for the project file in your name and I gave it to her.”

“Christine was only here yesterday, how the hell did that happen?!!” I slammed my fist on the table and yelled.

“After she received the package, I have few witnesses who saw it when she came to me. You can replay the CCTV if you want…I thought I was following your orders, I never knew she had other motives.”

She explained in deep fear not meeting my gaze.

I bit my lips so hard in anger until I tasted blood.

“What did she say?”

“She said that she needs the current contract project that’s yet to be signed, you had actually requested it and since you were having the meeting yesterday, I had reason to doubt her.” Celine said and I threw a fist on the wall and yelled.

“Fanuel, Christine doesn’t even know such a thing exists!! Please stop reacting this way and make proper investigation.” Jayden pleads.

He was confused as well and had to call Laurel to ask her if she knew anything but she hasn’t replied till now.

Is this what she meant by killing me even if she doesn’t know how?

“Call the witness, I want to hear each of them speak.”

I told Celine coldy and she nodded before going out.

This damage was impairable. Gosh, I could break down this instant.

I took off my jacket and ignored Jayden totally looking blank at whatever trash he’s spewing.

“Fan.. I think someone is trying to set Christine up. I know all this is bizarre but I know that…”

“Get out Jay!!” I yelled at him.

“Fanuel!!”Content rights belong to NôvelDrama.Org.

“One more word and I will order the securities to throw you out!” He scoffed.

“You’re making a mistake!! If you punish Christine for these baseless accusations…”

“You call this baseless huh? Are you listening to yourself dummy!!! This company was running fine until her dad swindled with the foundation of this company rendering it useless!!

Dad is in a coma and his health is still at stake because of what he’s had harbored for years and stands there telling me shit about a girl I’m going to kill right now.

Get out please.”

I quivered and watched him leave in silence.”

I turned on the tv and I was the first person to appear on the screen with nasty comments.

Rude, disrespectful, careless and dumb.

I scoffed when I saw the headlines.

Lover boy disrespecting the president for his wife’s sake.

Those bloggers are full of shit!!

Edward stormed inside and Stared me in shock.

“I saw it on the news and I didn’t believe it, Christine didn’t do it right?”

I was too angry to answer him, instead I reached for the locker beside me and fetched my wine to drink.

“You know she didn’t do it right?”

I smashed the cup to the wall in anger and stood up.

“What’s it with you guys huh? You think I don’t know her damn signature!! What is it with the silly defense, something that has cost me the company!!

“Chill dude!! This is crucial bit Christine won’t sign that stuff out of the blue.”

“Sing that shit to the press.”

I removed my tie and threw it away, heading for the door.

Christine and I are going to have a long shitty talk.

*****

Mirabel.

I will give extra credits to Alex this time around for fluxing the plan perfectly.

I couldn’t suppress my happiness as I drank my drink, Fanuel will have no choice but to run to my arms and plead.

I’m his only savior right now except Christine has a company of her own to start the project.

“He’s a genius, I can’t believe this happened in a twinkle.” I told Diana who smirked.

“Poor Christine, she’s going to have a black eye.”

“That’s for claiming what’s not hers.”

“She didn’t claim, she was forced. You’re just pissed Fanuel didn’t choose you.”

I glared at her angrily.

“Watch your tongue Diana, I only happened to dump him earlier. He was just too stubborn.”

Jane scoffed.

“He dumped you when he had the chance, he never liked you. I think you’re fighting over nothing…you’re too classy to be running after a man, I wish to be in your position…men will cling to me always.”

I sneered.

“I fight for something that have value, not dickheads who are just after my money. By the way, you did a good job.”

I complimented her as I thought of every possibility to make Christine sign those papers.

She was very intelligent and would read any write-up before signing anything according to Diana.

But she came up with an idea to make her sign it through a delivery process.

A package was to be initially sent to the mansion and she will be coerced to sign as the receiver without having the time to read through the contents of the documents.

But I got information that she went out with Fanuel to the company.

I told Alex to contact Celine to make sure Christine got out of the meeting to sign the documents in disguise of accepting the delivery which he agreed and was conducted successfully.

My next motive right now is to take Alex out of the picture.

Once I have Fanuel, I would not tolerate third party’s enemy.
