Chapter 6
Biting the inside of my cheek, I clenched my fists, keeping my gaze on the floor.
It's all right Rina You've gone through worse before, you can handle this
I said to myself, keeping steady breaths.
Being in a situation like this, I knew I had to behave myself to live.
As long as they don't pose as dangerous to my life, I can handle whatever treatment they give me.
"Say, how long do you think it would take that man to call because of her? It's been a few days already, Someone asked from the table.
I gasped lightly, raising my head.
They were talking about my father.
That's right.
It has been a few days since, my kidnapping and every normal father should have called by now.
But my father didn't care about what happened to me or if I lived.
doubt he would call because I was kidnapped. If anything, he might even send the rest of my things and ask them to keep
"Why aren't you eating? Do you wish to starve? Silas asked, his eyes boring holes into my head.
The table quieted down when he spoke, everyone staring at me with the same look...
I hate this. I hated the way they stared at me.
"But there's nothing for me to eat," I said, raising my eyes to match his stare..
His grey eyes held no emotion, his face stoic.
I wasn't going to just take the way they treated me without fighting back. If I did that, they would walk all over me for the rest of my life and I would have to try and prevent that.
I was a prisoner as much as I was his wife, and taking advantage of that was my only way to survive.
But Silas already told me not to expect anything from our relationship, so what could I do?
"How could I forget?"
Silas clapped his hands and a maid stepped forward with a plate in her hands. Taking the plate from her, he emptied its contents on the bare floor. "And let's not forget about water,"
I watched in shock as water splattered right next to me, droplets falling on my clothes.Exclusive content from NôvelDrama.Org.
"What are you doing?" I hissed, pushing up from where I sat, PO
"Giving you food. You should be thankful I don't let you starve, his cold voice rang in my ears and I tightened my grip on my clothes 11:31 Thu, Nov 21 BG-

"Oh? Is the food not to your liking princess?" A woman sitting next to Silas asked.
Her killer gaze on me was filled with nothing but hatred.
I didn't care about it anymore, I was going to escape from here and I would do it tonight.
"We give you food and water, and yet you dare to ask for something more? Another man said, shaking his head at me.
All these people were part of Silas mafia, and they each seemed to be between the ages of twenty-five and Fifty years old.
"If it's so good why don't you eat it then?" I asked, shifting my gize to him.
I didn't even know the contents of the food.
"Permit me to return to my room now," I said sarcastically, bowing my head at Silas.
You won't eat anything else if you miss this meal," Silas warned and I fought the urge to throw my middle finger up at him. Did he call this a meal? Even a prisoner would reject something as disgusting as this,
Without saying anything else, I turned around and left.
Slamming the door shut, I locked my room door.
I don't care how I do it, I needed to leave this place immediately.
But I didn't know the layout of the building and the best escape route, and there could be guards stationed around for all I knew
Thinking about the way they had treated me and the looks on their faces, my heart hardened.
This could only be the beginning of it all, who knew what they would do to me later?
Rushing to my window, I looked out to measure the distance between me and the ground.
Instantly feeling dizzy, I fell back into my room, closing my window as well.
The only way I could leave this building was through the window, but it looked more dangerous than actually walking down.
But I had to do
this.
Pulling the duvet and bed cover off my bed, I tied one end together, forming a long rope.
I was going to use this to climb down, but would it be enough to get me to the ground?
That I wasn't sure of
All I knew was that my life depended on this.
If it got loose before I got to the ground, I was going to die, and if I was unfortunate enough to get caught by Silas, I was as good as dead too.
Thinking about it made me shudder, but I couldn't back down now...
Tying one end of the duvet to the table leg. I threw the other end down and watched as it hit the floor silently.
This better work.
Slowly and carefully, I climbed out of my window, holding onto the duvet for dear life.
I closed my eyes as I swayed slightly, my legs wrapping around the duver.
I can do this, I can do this.
I thought to myself as I took steady breaths, trying to steady myself fast beating hard.
The doorknob rattled, and I gasped, looking up.
Oh no! Someone was trying to get in
I looked at the distance I had to the ground and 1 looked back at hy door,
1 had to make a decision.
"Hey! Why is this locked from the inside. Someone yelled from outside, and my heart dropped.
I was now
Carefully, I let myself slide down my the duvet, my grip tight
I wanted to escape but I needed to be alive too
My feet had just touched the ground when I heard my door burst open.
"She's gone?! Find her!" Someone bellowed from my room.
I looked up at my window, holding eye contact wi

His grey eyes held so much fury and I shivered in fright
But there's nothing I can do now.
Turning around, I sprinted off.
