The Moonlit Desires: Bound by Blood

Chapter twenty-six

I stormed down the hallway towards my father’s office, seething with anger. The sound of my footsteps echoed in the silence.

My shoulders were hunched, my hair all crazy, and my eyes were blazing with pure anger. I stormed towards the office, not even bothering to acknowledge the guards at the door. “Good evening, young master,” one of them said but with the amount of anger radiating out from my body, I forcefully pushed him away and burst into the office, interrupting my father’s discussion with my mother.

“Vincenzo,” my mother called, her voice filled with surprise and confusion. “What’s got you all fired up?” she asked, cautiously studying my enraged expression.

On the other hand, my father was eerily silent, his hands clasped together, supporting his chin as he studied me. A little frown creased his wrinkled face, and he appeared stressed. But what caught my attention immediately when I tore my gaze from my mother was the deep disappointment swirling in his dark eyes. Letting out a bitter laugh, I turned to face him, my hands tucked in my pants pocket. He had always been disappointed in me, and I swear he regretted having me as his son.

“Always despised being stuck with me as your son, huh?” I smirked, a dangerous smile curling my lips as I locked eyes with him.

“Vincenzo,” my mother exclaimed, surprising me. I snapped my head angrily in her direction. When she saw the anger in my eyes, she sadly looked down. She should stop pretending. It’s clear that this man never considered me worthy, not even as his own son!

Ignoring my presence, my father’s voice reverberated through the room, adding to the already tense atmosphere. “What brings you here?” he asked with a furrowed brow, demanding an explanation.

“Huh, isn’t it obvious?” I quirk an eyebrow at him amusingly, matching his tone.

It seemed as though my word got to him because his eyes suddenly glinted a darker color. “I asked you a damn question, you over-spoiled little brat!” he screeched, his Alpha aura radiating with authority. The atmosphere shifted instantly, and the tension grew even thicker. I could tell he was already furious.

My heart raced as I swallowed hard, feeling the overwhelming power in the air. Even though he was nearing retirement, he still possessed the strength of an Alpha. His aura had a profound effect on me, especially since I hadn’t inherited the seat or the power yet.

“Honey… Please, calm down,” my mother pleaded. “He is still our son,” she mumbled, but my father snapped furiously the moment the words left her lips. “This… This brat is not behaving like mine!” he thundered.

I wanted to snap back, but I found myself completely tongue-tied. His authority and aura were so overwhelming that I couldn’t utter a single word. I stood there, my head bowed in submission. As much as I despised being in this position, I couldn’t deny feeling vulnerable at that moment.

“Plea…. please,”

His eyes were filled with anger, disappointment, and disgust, but when he noticed my mother’s silent sob, he quickly snapped his head towards her. Seeing the tears in her eyes as she pleaded for him to calm down, I started feeling him relax back. Though the anger still lingered in his eyes, I could finally breathe as the tension began to ease.

“So finally you have given me some breathing room, huh?” I scoffed as I felt the tension begin to ease. But just as quickly, the tension stretched out again, making it difficult for me to catch my breath as our eyes locked.

“Uhmm…. Hmmm….. Fuckkk!”

“Honey is our son!” my mother yelled. Sighing, my father ran his hand frustratingly through his hair as he relaxed back in his chair. “Please, honey,” my mother pleaded, now standing by his side, gently kneading his shoulders in a calm and soothing motion.

“Get out!” my father exclaimed, but I shook my head stubbornly in disapproval. “I am not going anywhere,” I insisted, determined to stand my ground.Text property © Nôvel(D)ra/ma.Org.

Turning to look at me, he glared, “I said for you to get out of my office right now!” My heart raced, but I stood my ground, refusing to back down.

“Sorry but no,” I snapped back, matching his tone. Anger and hatred gleamed in my eyes as I looked directly at him, unyielding in my stance.

“Son… Please, listen to your father,” my mother pleaded. “He’s already stressed out and really angry,” she added. But instead, I couldn’t help but let out a bitter laugh, surprising both of them.

“Really?” I chuckled. “But what happened since I have something to say to him?”

“I don’t want to listen to any of your nonsense talks,” he howled, sending off a dismissive growl. But I remained fixed on my spot, undeterred by his outburst.

“YOU CAN NEVER SEND ME AWAY, I HAVE SOMETHING TO TELL YOU HERE AND NOW!!” I lashed out, surprising them both with the intensity of my words.

A silence fell between us as they both surprisingly glanced at me. My mother seemed utterly surprised and disappointed at the same time, while my father didn’t say much. But the unsaid words in his eyes were daring and dangerous to overlook. Clearing my throat, I refused to cower under his fierce gaze.

“What nonsense petition are you planning to send to that beast that was supposed to be six feet by now? Tell me…!!” I retorted, matching their tone of frustration.

“What petition is he talking about?” my mother stumbled on her words, her curiosity evident as she glanced back at my father. It seemed like he was restraining himself from losing his temper by separating my head away from my body right then and there.

Yet, he didn’t say anything but kept glaring at me. Not getting any words from my father, my mother turned back to me with a confused expression. “What petition are you talking about, son?” she mumbled, trying to make sense of the situation.

And that made me burst into another tremendous laugh. “Seems like you’re also kept in the dark like me,” I smirked, raising an eyebrow at her. “He’s your husband and right beside you, so ask him. I believe he’s in the best position to answer that,” I tackled, not even caring about the sadness in her face.

“But let me tell you, father,” I said, placing my hands behind me and leaning forward with a nasty smirk. “I’m not a coward, and no freakin’ petition should be sent to that ugly beast,” I blurted out, my words slipping from my lips like a threat. I could see his face contorted suddenly in outrage as he struggled to restrain himself from lashing out at me.

And then I decided to seize the opportunity for my own benefit. “There are two options here,” I said, using the same language as before. “Either you put an end to him, or you step down from your seat so I can show you how things are done.”

“Son…..!”

“YOU…!!” My father growled, struggling to control himself as his wolf slowly perked out from his angry gaze but he still managed to hold himself back from bouncing on me. He couldn’t because I am still his son, hahaha!

Grinning mischievously, I flashed them my pearly white teeth in full. Ignoring my father’s angry snarl and the look on my mother’s face, I turned around and furiously stormed out of the office as the smile suddenly vanished from my face replacing it with resentment and bitterness.
