The Persistent CEO Wants A Baby

Chapter 46 Jealousy

“Please sir, you have to wait for me to get a permission from him before you can see him.” The secretary said for the third time, trying to stop Trenton who looked pissed, from going in.

“What is happening here?” Aiden’s deep voice was heard from behind and Trenton stopped struggling.

The secretary sighed in relief and took few steps away from Trenton.

“What is happening here?” Aiden repeated, his hostile glare fixed on Trenton who also glared back at him.

“He wants to forcefully see you sir but I tried to make him understand he can’t until I inform you.” The secretary replied in a slight bow and Aiden scoffed.

“Go back to your desk.” He ordered still glaring hard at Trenton and the secretary did as she was told.

“What do I owe to get an unwanted visit like this?” Aiden asked fiercely. Trenton scoffed at his question and went closer to him.

“I’m not here to battle words with an arrogant piece like you but I came to warn you to withdraw whatever complaint you have against Blossom.”

Aiden chuckled on hearing that name.

“Is this what this is all about?” He smirked at him and it angered Trenton the more.

“If this is about her, then just cut the crab and lead yourself out of my company.” Aiden said again mockingly.

“You had better withdraw that case Aiden else….”

“Else what?” He cut Trenton off daringly.

“You’ll have me to deal with.” Trenton finished his statement now standing a metre away from Aiden and he scoffed.

“I was already dealing with you before this came up, so why should I feel scared now about this threat?” Aiden asked in smirk that annoyed Trenton the more.

“Leave when you’re done sightseeing because I guess you came to steal one of my wonderful designs for yours and I permit you.” He said in mockery and walked away.

“I’m so sorry for keeping you waiting sir.” Tihana said settling on a seat.

Mr Norman dropped his glass of juice in a light smile.

“I’m really grateful to you for honoring my invitation, Mrs Turner.”

“It’s all my pleasure sir.” Tihana nodded and returned his smile.

“What would you like to have?”

“I’m okay without anything, thank you.” Tihana replied as gentle as she could.

There was silence between them as Tihana waited for him to speak up. She also wondered if he had called her up because of his daughter’s case again.

“Mrs Turner?” Mr Norman called out slowly, finally breaking the silence.

“I would like to know something from you.” He continued contemplating if what he was doing was the best thing.

He brought out a picture and placed it on the table slowly in front of Tihana.

Tihana looked shocked seeing him bring out the picture.

“I saw the picture in one of your things, the day I almost hit you with my car but I forgot to give it back when I gave back the other things, I’m really sorry for that.” He explained.

Tihana sighed staring at her mother’s picture, she didn’t even notice it had gone missing, maybe because her mind hasn’t been settled since then.

All these while, Mr Norman stared intently at her to observe her reaction.

“Are you okay, Mrs Turner?” He asked in a worried tone.

“I’m fine sir.” Tihana replied in a soft smile.

“Thank you for returning the picture.” She uttered again.

“It’s nothing actually, you’ve done a similar thing for me before, why wouldn’t I do the same for you?” Mr Norman shrugged and Tihana just smiled.

“I am really sorry for the last time, with the way my friend spoke to you, it was kind of rude.” Tihana remembered their encounter at the hospital with Diana.

“About that?” Mr Norman raised an eyebrow and chuckled.

“It was nothing, I understood what she meant at the moment. I shouldn’t have also tried to seek for your help, considering she had made attempt to sleep with your husband.” He further said.

“Speaking of that, I’m sorry. I wish there was a way I could help you out.” Tihana sympathised with him and he sighed.

“I know you would but don’t worry, I will find a way out myself.”

“I hope you do.” She assured with a light smile.

“Umm, I hope I won’t sound intrusive when I ask this question.” Mr Norman decided to ask the question bothering him for a few days now, the main reason he was here.

“You can go on.” Tihana urged.

“The woman in the picture, who exactly is she to you?” Mr Norman asked.

Tihana was rendered speechless for few seconds and she tried not to show it.

“She is my mother.” She replied after a gulp.

It was Mr Norman’s turn to be speechless. He stared at the picture on the table then back at Tihana.

“You mean she is your mother?” He asked again and Tihana nodded, staring suspiciously at him.

“Do you know her?” She asked and he palmed his face.

“No.” He replied immediately.

“What about your father?” He asked again.

Tihana stared at him perplexed of why he was enquiring all these from her.

“Like I said earlier, I’m sorry if I’m being intrusive.” Mr Norman tried to clear her unseen questions.

“You’re the first outsider I will be telling this.” She replied as she exhaled.

“I grew up with a man I knew to be my father but just few months back, he told me he wasn’t my biological father, so as we speak, I’m looking for my biological father but I don’t even have a clue of what he looks like.”

By the time Tihana had finished, her cheeks were already stained with tears and she sniffed.

All those memories brings tears to her eyes and no matter how she tried, she couldn’t control it.

“And can’t your mother tell you?” Mr Norman threw yet another question to her.

“She can’t because she is dead.” Tihana replied as she let more tears flow down her cheeks, not caring about the people around her.

Cold shivers ran down Mr Norman’s spine as he shut his eyes tight and when he opened it, a tear dropped, he wiped it off immediately. He stood up, going over to Tihana’s side to give her a comforting hug.

Diana walked into the restaurant, eye searching for her friend. She sighted her on a table and walked briskly to her.

“Hey girl!” She cheered, sitting opposite her.

“Hey!” Tihana cheered back lowly.

“What is it? Did anything happen?” Diana asked, noticing how somber her friend looked.

“You know you can always share with me.” She said taking Tihana’s hands in hers.

“Well nothing much happened, just that I got reminded of my family again, to even think I have come to miss them so much even if they weren’t fair to me.”

“What? You saw them?” Diana asked adjusting on her seat.

“No, but I was in situation where I remembered all of them today.”

“Okay, I’m confused right now. What really happened?”

“I met with Mr Norman, the man we……..”

“Isn’t that Blossom’s father?” Diana chipped in.

“Yes.” Tihana breathed out.

“Why did you meet him in the first place?”

“He asked to meet me and it will be rude if I didn’t go because he practically begged me.”

“Alright then, when will his daughter be set from jail?” Diana asked in a smile that Tihana found confusing.

“What do you mean by that?”

“He must have talked about his daughter, so I want to know till when you promised to make Aiden set her free.” Diana uttered.

“Diana, can you for once put aside the difference between you and Blossom? Try to put yourself in her father’s shoes.”

“I knew it.” Diana muttered but Tihana heard her anyways.

“You didn’t because that wasn’t what we discussed, but I just want you to know that everything shouldn’t be about Blossom, we should also consider the father.” Tihana reasoned with Diana and she sighed.

“I’m relieved to hear he didn’t manipulate you emotionally to help his daughter get out and again, I want you to know I don’t have anything against the father.”

“With the few times I met him, there was a huge difference between him and his daughter and I understand what you’re trying to say, but then, Blossom deserves everything that is happening to her and even more.”

“I wonder why Aiden is even making her arrest a secretive one when it should have been all over the news, shouldn’t that bother you?” Diana asked at the end of her statement.

“It doesn’t.” Tihana replied simply.

“What did he say when he saw you? I mean Aiden, you told me you were going to see him, right?”

“Yeah, I did and I don’t know what to think anymore.” Tihana replied and moved her chair closer to the table.

“What happened?” Diana asked with a questioning look.

“Could you believe he asked me not to leave? And we even made out in his office.”

“What?! He did that?” Diana proclaimed in shock.

“Yeah. At first, I’d wanted to push him off me but I couldn’t control myself.”

“Do you think he really meant it when he asked you to stay?” Diana enquired folding her hands beneath her boobs.

“That was why I said I’m confused.” Tihana took in a sharp breath.

“What is there to be confused about? You’ve made up your mind already and the most important thing here.”

“I know but…..” Tihana stressed out but didn’t finish.

“But what?” Diana asked and Tihana sighed.

“Huh? Do you have an objection to your decision?” Diana asked again.

“I don’t know.” Tihana rested back on her chair.

“Remember, on the day you informed me about what you’ve decided concerning your relationship with Aiden, I had told you not to make a rash decision, so do what pleases you, I’m always behind you.” Diana reassured with a smile.

“Now, get your mind off it and let’s have dinner peacefully.” She said again and beckoned on a waiter.

“Our regulars but mine should be half the usual quantity.” The waiter bowed and left.

“Why are you having half the quantity?” Tihana asked in conjecture.Copyright Nôv/el/Dra/ma.Org.

“I already had some food with Wayne.” Diana replied and Tihana moved forward to rest her hands on the table.

“You know sometimes, I feel jealous about you and your boyfriend.” She said in a smile.

“I’m grateful to know that.” Diana said with an expression Tihana found funny and she bursted into laughter then Diana joined her.
