Violette POV

“Viktor.. I don’t know.” I said as he pulled me towards the grey door.

“I should’ve already brought you in here.” He said softly. He reached for the handle.. my heart was in my throat.

“It’s nothing bad.. it’s just very personal. You’re my mate.. so I should share everything with you.” He said. He looked at me and pushed open the door. My heart sank in my chest at what I saw.

“Viktor..” I said softly. It took him a lot of courage to bring me.. of all people in here.

“These are just.. some of my sibling’s things. Pictures.. their favorite toys.. it was once my little sibling’s nursery.” He said softly. My eyes filled with tears when I saw two small urns sitting on a table in the corner.

“Viktor.. I shouldn’t be in here.” I whispered.

“Why not? You didn’t do it. Your father did. And I won’t punish you for it anymore. Besides, I was thinking I could move this stuff out and make it our pup’s nursery..” he said. I looked at him wide-eyed.

“I don’t know about that.. this is.. their room,” I said softly. He cupped my face in his hands and wiped away my tears.

“I want to. It’s the closest room to ours. It was my sibling’s nursery, I want it to be our pups as well.” He said. I pulled him to me and held him tight.

“I’m so sorry for what my Father did.” I cried.

“Don’t be, my love.” He said.

“Where will you put everything?” I asked. He sighed as he pulled away and looked at all of their trinkets.

“My Father’s second office.” He said.

“Why did he have two?” I giggled through my tears.

“So he could hide from my Mother.” He chuckled.

“So.. what do you think? Nursery or..” he asked.

“If you’re truly okay with it,” I said softly.

“I wouldn’t have brought it up if I wasn’t serious about it. Besides, we should start preparing.. our pup will be here in a couple of months.” He said. I nodded in agreement.

“I don’t even know where to start.” I sighed.

“Let’s start with a crib. We can work our way up from there.” He said.

“Okay..”

He wrapped his arms around me and held me tightly.

“Do you think a boy or a girl?” He asked.

“I don’t know..” I said.

“I think girl. But I would be so happy no matter what.” He said. He pulled away and smiled.

“I love you.” He said.

“I love you too,” I replied.

“Now. With the announcement of the pup.. we’ve already received a ton of things if you’d like to look.” He said.

“Really? We just announced the other day.” I said.

“A royal pup is a huge deal here.” He said.

“I would love to look,” I said softly. He grabbed my hand and pulled me out of the room.

“First though.. I have something for you.” He said. I furrowed my brows in confusion as he walked over to his desk and pulled something out.

“Here.. it may seem you lost this.” He said. He handed me the butterfly necklace that he got for me.

“I found it and I’ve kept it with me.” He said.

“Will you help me?” I asked. He took the necklace back and pulled my hair together and handed it to me.

“There.” He said softly as he clasped it around my neck. I held the little blue butterfly tightly in my hand.

“Thank you..” I said as I turned around.

“Alright.. are you ready?” He asked. He held out his hand and I grabbed it.

“Yes, I’m ready”. I said with a smile. He pulled me out of our chambers and down the hall.

We walked across the castle until we came to the main hall, where there sat a huge pile of things sitting in the middle of the room on a table.

“Oh, my goddess..” I gasped as I saw it.

“Yeah.. as I said, royal pups are a huge deal here.” He chuckled. He walked me over to the table and pulled out a chair for me to sit on.

“This will take forever..” I said.

“Which is why I’ll be helping. I also called for Sylvia and a few other maids.. the ones that bathe you. Oh, and Beatrice.” He said. I giggled.

“Then we will surely get through it all within no time.” I smiled.

“Now where do we start?” He asked as he looked at everything.

“Umm..” I didn’t know either. Thankfully the girls had joined us with excitement and began to go through everything and show us.

“Oh.. Viktor.. isn’t it beautiful?” I asked as I held out a little glass angel baby.

“It is, my love.” He said. I handed it to him and he held it with a smile on his face.

“I cannot tell you how excited I am.” He said.

“I believe everyone is.” Beatrice giggled.

“Look at the little bonnet!” Sylvia said as she adored it.

“Oh, there’s a matching dress!” Beatrice said as she held up the dress.

“It may seem everyone thinks it will be a girl as well. There’s far more girl stuff than boy stuff.” I giggled.

“That’s okay, we have a lifetime to make many pups of each gender.” Viktor winked at me. My face turned bright red, I’m sure of it.
