Jackie woke up to a tray of food beside her. She sat up shocked at the gesture. No one had done that

for her before.

Like she even had a man in her life before, pfff.

She shyly covered her face as Mase stared at her with a smile on his.

How come I didn't ask her out earlier?

She looks so beautiful in the morning.

Thank goodness I wasn't too late.

" Imma go wash my face and brush my teeth...'d be back in a minute," she said getting off bed and

heading to the bathroom.

This seems so good to be true. She stood before the mirror brushing her mouth.

" Babe breakfast's gonna get cold," Mase called.

" Give me a second, please," she replied washing her mouth and face.

" Aright," he answered walking towards her window and pulling the curtains apart.

Jackie emerged from the bathroom and then sat on her bed. She gently poured the hot water into her

cup before dumping her tea bag in it. She opened the other plate as the smell of bacon, sausages and

baked beans hit her. They are alone whet her appetite.

" Aren't you joining me?" she asked picking a fork.

" Nope...this was made specially for you," he answered.

" Thanks, love," she said digging into her food. Mase entered the bathroom to take a shower. He had a

meeting with another record label wanted to sign on Alicia and Kyle since their old contract was about

to expire.

" Going somewhere?" Jackie asked as he emerged from the shower.

" Yeah, I have a meeting in 45minutes," he answered.

" A meeting?" she wanted him to explain further.

"I'd explain further when I get back, have a great day and don't miss me too much," Mase added

"Miguel?" Jess called out to be sure.

" Jess, hi." he hugged her as May looked on confused.

" It's been ages...when did you get back?" she asked.

" Just two days ago, pardon my manners. Meet May, my wife, May meet Jess, a friend." he introduced.

" I know you re-married." she shook his wife's hand.

" Well, I did. It was nice meeting you, Jess and oh I'd bring May over to the salon for a makeover before

we head back," he said.

" I'd be expecting you guys," she said as they walked off.

He got married?

And I was still hoping he'd come back for me.

It's time to move on Jess, it's about time. She thought to herself picking up some groceries for the

house. Jackie and Freya had got men on their lives now. She was the only single one amongst them.

I could sign up on the dating app Quinn was taking of.

It's not a bad idea.

She thought to herself heading to her car.

"Did you have a thing going on with her?" May asked her husband.

" We had feelings for each other but I couldn't enter a relationship with her because I wasn't over my

late wife," he explained to her.

" And now?" she couldn't help but ask.

" Now, I'm married to you and have eyes for only you." he smiled at her making her blush.

Jess dropped her grocery bags on the table and then headed to the couch. She sat on the couch

logging onto the dating site. She just needed to find a anonymous date since she was unlucky with

love.

" User name, user name, user name." she gently tapped her head trying to come up with a unique

name.

" How about Faye?" she thought to herself.

" Yeah, Faye does it." she smiled creating her profile.

" Now, let's see if I'd find the right man for me," she smirked walking into the kitchen to put away her

groceries.

She had forgotten all about the account she had created on the site. Her phone was in the couch

resting while she prepared sauces and stews stocking them into her freezer. Work had been hectic

these days, she hardly had enough time to cook for herself when she got back exhausted. She was

tired of eating pizza each night she returned from work.

A decent meal would do once a while.

After she had stocked her fridge with her sauces and stews. She made h some lasagne. It had been a

while she had that....scratch that, it's been ages since she last had a lasagne and was craving one at

moment.

Ah, my phone.

She remembered and got it from where she had left it at. She noticed she had gotten several

messages from a particular person with the username Hans_solo.

"Okay, Hans_solo... let's see what you look like," Jess added going through his profile. He had tanned

skin, had arbs to die for...but he wasn't ripped like all those bodybuilders she saw on tv and online. He

was tall..like say 6'4ft and she was a 5'7ft. He had the deepest shade of grey eyes she had ever seen

and worked as a lecturer at New Jersey City University.

How sure am I that he's real?

What if he's just in for fun?

Those questions run through her mind as she checked on her food. She took the lasagne from the

oven and served herself a portion. She kept the leftovers inside the fridge taking out a carton of orange

juice. She poured herself a glass and sat at her dining table picking up a fork and started to eat her

meal.

There's no harm in trying, there's always a first time for everything.

Here we go.

She sent a reply to the message he had earlier sent her. Within two seconds he had replied to her.

Maybe this won't be so bad after all.

"How was your meeting today?" Jackie asked as Mase hugged her from behind.

" It went well," he responded getting a bottle of water from the fridge.

" So what was it about?" she raised a brow waiting for an answer.

" Signing Alicia and Kyle with another record label since their contract is almost over," he answered.

" Talking about record labels...when is our song going to be released? I mean the one I did with Alicia

and Kyle, and when is our next tour?" she asked a two-in-one question.

"The song would be released in a month and we would be going on tour in three weeks. We're going to

Washington, D.C. then London, Europe and finally Paris," he told.

"Shut up," she hugged him in excitement.

" You deserve all this and more, you're a talented artiste and people around the world need to see your

talent." he praised her.
