“Hailey, we're gonna be late for school." Sunny shook her best friend awake. She got up rubbing her

eyes and staring at her annoying friend.

“Today's a holiday dumbass." She sat up straight.

“But why does it feel like we have somewhere to go?" Sunny asked.

“We do, today is the annual town float and there is a party after that." Hailey reminded her utterly

confused friend.

“Ooooh!" Sunny remembered.

“We have to get ready then." She suggested.

“The float starts at 4 pm Sunny, let me sleep in peace," Hailey whined.

“Fine sleepyhead, I'd catch you later. " She said walking down to the living room to watch what was on

tv.

Zed wore his grey joggers and walked to the kitchen bare-chested. He thought Soraya had gone out

with her friends as he had heard her say earlier. He took the carton of milk and poured it on his cereal.

Spray stood at the staircase staring at Zed's beautiful body. She trailed her finger down her lips

It was time for the float and Hailey and Sunny had already taken the lead. Keith told them he would join

them soon. He had to wait for Tessy who was taking years to get ready.

Hailey and Sunny got out of the car which was parked at the parking lot of the mall and then joined in

on the float. They were walking from the mall through the town. There was music playing making the

walk quite interesting.

“Babe, we're gonna be late for the float," Keith called after her.

“I don't wanna go, let's go to the party instead." She tried convincing him.

There was no way he was leaving her in his house alone and he wasn't missing the float either.

“Then let me take you home, cause I'm going for the float." He said shocking her.

“But we could do fun things here." She wiggled her eyebrows.

"The party would be held here, so I could come to pick you later." He said picking her stuff and putting

them in her arms as he practically dragged her out locking the doors. He didn't care she was mad at

him. He sped off and on a few minutes, he was at her house. He opened the door for her as she

stepped out and stormed off.

I could care less. He thought as he called his sister.

“Hails, where are you guys now?" He called by her pet name.

“Infront of the town square." She said as he dropped the call and drive there. He parked his car at the

parking lot and then joined in the float. He moved through the crowd as he spotted his sister and

Sunny.

“Took you long enough huh?" Sunny asked smirking.

“Where's the hoe at?" Hailey asked referring to Tessy.

“She didn't want to come, so I dragged her out and took her home." He shrugged.

Zed lay on his bed recalling what had happened between him and his boss. He couldn't believe he
