Lily raised a brow in confusion and clicked the next inbox.

Lily at this point was confused beyond understanding. She went to her profile to check if she was logged in to the wrong one, but seeing how it was her account, she frowned and decided to check the homepage to see why everyone was sending her a goodwill message.

When she got to the homepage, she saw two trending topics, the first was #Backstabbingbestfriend and the second was #Seducingbestfriend’sbrother. Lily clicked on the second one and saw nothing had changed but it got more views and likes and all the comments had someone defending her in there, for example:

It’s so obvious that the post was made to tarnish the other girl’s reputation, yet you all senselessly went there to put down your input without knowing a thing! Just so you know, I am also a student in the school and I know the two of them quite well.

Enough to tell you what was posted is nothing but a lie. But if you choose not to believe me, that’s your cup of tea, but here are the audio and videos of the ‘good best friend’ scheming and backstabbing the other friend! If you are too blind to see even with such evidence, that’s your fault.

With pursed lips, Lily clicked on the attached files and began to listen. “Hmph! What does she think she is? Trying to be friends with me because she’s the best in class, how annoying!” Merissa’s voice came out of the video that was obviously taken in the restroom.

“I thought you liked her? Didn’t her family work for your family?” A girl asked with a sneer.

“Like her? Why would I like a low life like her? I’m only friends with her because of what she can offer. I make her do my assignments and all the cleaning in our dorm, just by showing her a bit of care. I like seeing her look so pathetic like her parents when they suck up to mine” The video ended with Merissa laughing with the other girl.

Lily’s face darkened with rage as she clicked the audio, a loud crashing noise was heard, followed by the voice of Merissa cursing up a storm.

“Fuck! It’s that bitch again! Why is it always that low-life peasant? Lily this! Lily that! Is she the only one!” Marissa cursed.

“Calm down, you can’t keep destroying things around here, the school will have you punished!” Zach’s voice followed.

“Fuck! Is the school property that important right now? That Wench was nominated to represent the school in the national! Nationals!” Merissa screamed.

“I’ve been dreaming about going to the nationals, but that poor country bumpkin took it away from me! Do you think I should be calm? I can’t be! That spot belongs to me! Me!” She yelled and threw another case to the wall.

“Honestly, I don’t think that’s the case, she’s the best student in your department in your year, it’s natural that the school would pick her over you!” Zach reasoned.

“Are you supporting her now?”

“Of course not, I’m just saying it as it is!”

“I won’t allow her to go to the finals, it can only be me and no one else!” That was the last thing before the audio ended.

Lily let out a dark laugh as she covered her face with her palm. “How interesting!” She laughed, “Who posted this?” She asked.

Lily posted several pictures of Merissa and Zach being together while they were still in a relationship. Some pictures of them show where they were kissing and some showed even more intimate of them in the bedroom.

As people saw the post the school forum exploded into chaos and the new post soon made it to the top of the trending list.

Merissa, who still had not recovered from the shock of what happened in the restaurant, got an even more shocking blow as she read the new post.

Her eyes lost their focus and she trembled in fear and apprehension. She stared at the caller ID with a pale face as her phone began to go off. With her heart in her throat, she picked up the call and almost fainted as the cold voice of her father came off of the phone, “Merissa! Come home this instant and explain what is happening to me!”
