Chapter 2151

Chapter 2151 Ian’s Back

Now that Ian was back, Cindy got some appetite, so she said okay and went to take her phone.

Ian wobbled over to the kitchen and asked his mother about work. She said it was fine. A moment of

hesitation later, she whispered, "The news that's going viral isn't great for your career, is it?"

Oh, that one. "It's fine. It honestly depends on who believes that stuff. Just because they're trying to

drag us into it doesn't mean we have to play along."

Aurora clicked her tongue. "Bet he has a team working with him. Wonder what he's hiding up his

sleeve."

Ian patted Aurora's shoulder, calming her down. "It's alright. He can come at us with everything he

has." He was in the wrong, to begin with. Everything he texted Aurora, Ian had taken a snapshot. He

didn't even bother keeping anything a secret, and most of the snapshots had things that could Text property © Nôvel(D)ra/ma.Org.

incriminate him. If Ian were to let these snapshots loose, the court of public opinion would take their

side.

Ian just didn't want to entertain him for the moment. Aurora heaved a sigh. "And now Leah's dead. Why

do these things happen in succession anyway? All these cases are going to hurt your career. What'd

your company say?"

Ian shook his head, looking nonchalant. "I'm fine. It might seem like a lot of stuff, but I'm fine. Not like

these things have anything to do with me. We can't do anything about the public's opinion, so all we

can do is control our minds."

He's really optimistic about this. Sometimes I'm really impressed. Maybe he's just not caring because

he's been working in the industry for a while. I don't think I can be as uncaring as he is. Cindy came

back after ordering delivery, then she hugged Ian from the side and rested her head on him, a smile

curling her lips. She said nothing, but her happiness was palpable, and Aurora laughed. "She's never

even laughed once when she was with me."

Ian hugged Cindy and smiled as well. "She misses me."

And she did. It hadn't been days since they got married, and they were already separated despite

being in the honeymoon phase. Cindy didn't like that feeling. Aurora went back to her room and let the

couple have their own personal space. The couple sat on the couch. Despite the size of the couch,

they still hugged each other tightly like there was only one spot.

Cindy didn't mind Aurora seeing them. They were already married, so it was normal for her to make out

with her husband. They were still talking about Leah's case. Even though Ian had talked things out with

her, Cindy was still worried. Logan disfigured Leah, and she wondered if the cops would find anything

out. He did it for Ian, so if the cops did want to look into this, Ian and Logan would be arrested.

Ian wasn't worried. He held Cindy's hand and kissed it. "It's alright. Logan will handle it. He's tougher

than he looks." He's seen a lot of stuff. Even if the cops were to find out, he can handle them.

Cindy didn't know Logan well. She knew he was rich, but she didn't know if he could handle this matter,

and that was what she was worried about.

Noticing her concern, Ian changed the subject, "I haven't decided if I want to continue the contract. I'm

thinking this will be my last contract with them."

Cindy paused for a moment and looked at him. "You're going to run your own show?"

Ian shook his head. He didn't have any plans of opening his own company. Life in the entertainment

industry was not what he liked. He preferred a more relaxed and laid-back life.
