Chapter 2179 Simon Arrested

After a moment of hesitation, Cindy smiled. "Others are scrambling to get into showbiz while we're

leaving it as though we've suffered from a lot of grievances."

Hearing that, Ian couldn't help but chuckle. "Everyone's perspective is different. Some people think This text is property of Nô/velD/rama.Org.

showbiz is wonderful, but I think it's terrible. It's perfectly normal."

After lying on the bed for a while longer, they got up. Cindy had to go to work, and her company wasn't

near, so she had to leave early.

When they finished washing up, they went downstairs and had breakfast. Cindy initially thought she

would come across Valerie. Although she was an introvert, she thought she should say hi to the

woman.

However, perhaps they woke up too early, so they didn't get to see Valerie. Therefore, they parted ways

after having breakfast.

After Cindy got into the cab, Ian blew a kiss at her and said that when everything was over, he would

take some time off and travel with her. Certainly, traveling didn't matter to Cindy. She just wanted Ian to

stay by her side. She loved the idea of seeing the man at home when she came back from work.

Nevertheless, she still nodded and waved her hand at the man, after which the cab moved away.

She leaned against the seat and let out a breath. Although the intimate session had been strenuous,

she felt it was worth it.

Even if they had done nothing when they were together, she would've felt pleased by spending the

night with the man.

Since she was still tired, she slowly closed her eyes.

She was knackered the night before, and she woke up early in the morning. As such, she was still

sleepy.

However, she couldn't fall asleep as she rested against the seat. At that moment, she fell into her

thoughts.

When Ian's work was over, she wanted to bring him home. The wedding didn't matter to her. If Keith

had some free time by then, she wanted to introduce the men to each other. Then, she would bring Ian

to her father's tomb and offer their prayers.

At noon, when Ian took a break from work, he received a call from Logan.

Over the phone, Logan asked if Ian was done with work and smacked his lips. "Do you have some time

to talk?"

Hearing that, Ian knew what the other party was going to talk about. He asked, "Is it about Leah? Have

you found out anything?"

Logan let out a sigh. "Yes, that's what I want to talk about. The truth is surprising. Even though I'm a

terrible guy, I can never do such a thing."

When Ian heard that, he could figure out what might have happened. With a frown, he asked, "Was it

Simon's doing?"

Logan snorted. "Yes, it was him. Anyway, he was arrested. He was good at hiding because he hid

inside a basement and prepared a lot of food and water. He stayed there for a long time."

Nonetheless, there came a time when his food and water ran out, so he had to come out and get his

supplies. Someone discovered him and called the police.

Simon wasn't a careful person. After the police arrested him, they found a lot of cash and Leah's

accessories in his hiding place. Since he wasn't mentally tough, he confessed to everything after the

police interrogated him.

Logan then said, "He owes other people a lot of money. He came back this time to persuade Leah to

pay for his debts, but she didn't agree to it. We can't verify what they talked about. Simon said Leah

told him to get lost, and his life or death didn't matter to her. They then got into an argument. It was said

that Leah made a move first. He had no choice but to counterattack, accidentally killing her out of self-

defense."

It was understandable that Leah treated Simon harshly. After all, when she was injured and had to

recuperate in the hospital, Simon had never visited her. Although Leah loved her son, no one could

guarantee that she wouldn't give up on him in the end.
