the Shaw family could give up on Charlie. Now, I can let go of them as well.”
“If you truly don’t care, you wouldn’t have said so much to me, Commander Shaw!” Jeffrey retorted.
“You’re wrong. I’ve said so much to you because your life is under my control. If you want to die, I can
grant you that, and if you want to live, I can also make it happen.”
That statement made Jeffrey’s smile disappear.

bargaining chip.”
“I can save Mrs. Shaw first, but I have a condition.”
“You’re not in a position to negotiate conditions with me!”
“Commander Shaw, pushing me too far won’t benefit you, will it?”
Aiden frowned slightly, hesitated for a moment, and asked, “What is your condition?”
Seeing his compromise, Jeffrey secretly heaved a sigh of relief. He was afraid Aiden would not budge,
which would put him in real trouble.
Fortunately, Aiden was not unassailable.
“I don’t want to feel watched whenever I need to use the restroom. I hope your people will stay outside
the laboratory.” After speaking, Jeffrey realized his demand was a little excessive, so he added, “You
can install surveillance cameras in the laboratory, except for the restroom.”
Aiden nodded. “Sure! When can you save my grandma? Her health is deteriorating, and she needs the
antidote as soon as possible.”
Feeling pain all over his body, Jeffrey intentionally said, “It would have taken just an hour initially, but

quickly outpaced her, leaving her behind, and reached the intensive care unit first.
