Cecilia didn’t bother to continue acting when she finally talked about the matter of her disowning the
Yancey family. She no longer embarrassed Juliana as well.

Cecelia said, “I’m happy to leave the Yancey family, but you took my blood for three years and want me
to leave without receiving a penny!”
Scoffing at the Yancey family’s wealth was different from preventing their bankruptcy.
Jonathan snorted coldly and replied, “See, I’m right. She deliberately refused to transfuse blood to Julia
because she wanted money!”

daughter.”

Gordon asked Cecilia coldly, “How much money do you want?”

Gordon was so shocked that his voice then rose by several octaves. “Are you crazy?”
Although the Yancey family had several billion dollars in assets and could easily fork out 60 million
dollars, he wasn’t about to give it to Cecelia so easily.
Cecilia put her hand behind her ear and angled it toward Gordon.
“What? Are you saying that Juliana isn’t worth this price?” she asked.
“Don’t try to change the subject. It is you who are too greedy, and now you want to make excessive
demands!” retorted Gordon.
“Since you’re not up for a negotiation, I don’t want the money either. Just let Juliana pay me back in
blood. That’s three years‘ worth of transfusions, so how about it?”
Sophia retorted anxiously, “How can Julia do that? She’s still sick. Her blood is too precious!”
“If you don’t pay up or pay me back in blood, I can only disclose the truth,” declared Cecilia.
After saying that, Cecilia picked up her phone and sent everyone the article she had written.
“Have a look. If the details are untrue, you’re welcome to call the police and report me for libel.”
The article was short and concise, and every sentence spoke the truth.
Gordon took a step back and said, “Cecilia, you have indeed suffered in the past three years. I’ll give
you 20 million dollars.”
“Mr. Yancey, do you think this is a farmer’s market where you can bargain? You owe 60 million dollars
and not a penny less!”
Sophia looked at Cecilia’s greedy face and agreed, even as she

clenched her jaw in displeasure.
“Fine, 60 million dollars it is. From now on, the Yancey family has nothing to do with you. Even if you
need to beg for food, don’t come to our house!”
Cecilia agreed affably. “Deal!”
After saying that, she reminded them, “By the way, don’t give me the money. Please donate this money

Everyone in the Yancey family was stunned by her words and gaped at Cecilia in disbelief.
She was giving up on 60 million dollars!

Gordon followed her with the documents. They went to the

He stopped at the entrance and called out to Cecilia, saying, “Ceci, it’s not too late for you to change

After handling the disowning thing, she said, “I didn’t take anything from the Yancey family. If you don’t

Then, she took a cab and left.
Gordon stared in the direction where the cab was headed, absorbed in his thoughts for a long time.
Finally, he looked at the paper, which proved that Cecilia was no longer a member of their family. He
struggled to describe his feelings at that moment.
There was relief, and there was also a tinge of regret.

Cecilia turned on the lights and appraised the layout of the

There were six monitors suspended on the right wall. Some of them displayed pictures, while some
displayed lines of running code.
Cecilia sat in front of the computer and typed across the six keyboards.
The display on each monitor kept changing.
Soon, the basic information of a family appeared on the monitor in the middle.
Cecilia looked at it earnestly, but she shook her head after reading it.

It was not the person she was looking for.
She had been tracking the person for three years, but she didn’t find any clues. “Were Evan’s previous
investigation results wrong?” wondered Cecilia.

In fact, finding this person was the biggest reason why she came to Quilton.
She had to find the man behind that accident three years ago to bring closure and comfort to her five
companions who died because of her.
The investigation went on until midnight, but there were no additional clues.

results and waited for the other party to take the bait.
After that, she took a bath and rested.

But Juliana had ruined her reputation, so no one wanted to work with her.
She didn’t care, either. She wrote a song and sang it herself.
The music department was the top department of Quilton University. It was well–known nationwide as
the alma mater of many famous musicians, including Sophia and Jeremiah.
It was also the department with the most number of students, so even if there were eight recording
studios, it would not be enough for all the students.
Every day, the place was packed to the brim with students fighting for a slot.
Cecilia came to Quilton University that day because there was a three–day holiday on campus. She

Cecilia ignored him and walked around him.
When the guy looked embarrassed, someone else said, “Oh, an ice queen. I kind of dig that.”
After saying that, he ran after Cecilia and flicked his hair confidently.
“Hey there, are you free at noon? Let’s have dinner together. I’ll take you to a fine dining restaurant
outside school.”
His family was rich, and he was good–looking, so he had never failed to woo a woman.
Cecilia walked faster and stomped rather heavily on her admirer’s feet. All this while, she remained
impassive.
The guy screamed in pain.
By the time he recovered, Cecilia had entered the music department building.
“So she’s from the music department. No wonder she’s so elegant yet assertive. She’s totally my type!”
As soon as he finished his words, a car zoomed past him, showering him in dust.
Christopher, who was sitting in the car, glared frostily at the
