The expression on Melanie’s face darkened, and she could hardly hold onto her phone. Xander looked worried and asked, “What’s wrong?”

Melanie came back to her senses and looked at Xander. “Cedric wants to meet me.”

She lowered her eyelids, concealing her emotions before saying, “I tend to think she has no relation to the Scott family.”

Cedric retorted, “But she carries Eugene’s blood in her veins. You still say there’s no connection?” “What do you want to discuss with me today?” Melanie gradually calmed down. She looked at Cedric and asked, “I don’t think I have anything to do with you, Mr. Scott.”

Cedric stared sharply at Melanie. “Are you sure about that?”

“Is Eugene giving you the courage to speak to me like this? Melanie, you’d better not forget you were once an employee of LeapCo. Even if that contract was taken by Eugene, so what? I have ways and means to teach you a lesson!”
