The Woman From Hell

Seeing my name, I could not help but frown.

"They want me to be careful, but why didn't I receive the message myself?"

This puzzled me.

The number looked strange. It was not some regular number. It seemed like it had been virtualized.

Theo also looked worried. "We should be able to crack it, but it'll take time."

"This can't be something Silas sent to you before he died, right?" I guessed boldly.

Theo shook his head. "No, he shouldn't have our number. Also, he could've sent it directly to you. It's so much more trouble to send it to multiple people than one person alone." "That's true."

He put down his phone and looked at me. "We should focus on the fact now that Sylvester doesn't have good things in store for you. It doesn't matter who sent the message.""

"There shouldn't be any grudges between us, so why would he harm me?" I clearly told him that I would not go back to the family. Silas had been recuperating abroad before this as well. "You shouldn't go to the funeral, to be safe," Theo said.

I had planned to do the same, but then I thought of something else just now.

"Someone close to Sylvester might have sent that message," Theo said all of a sudden.

I looked at him, puzzled. "Why do you say so?"

"If he wanted to harm you, he couldn't have possibly publicizedzit. So, the only person who would know about this is someone close to

"Silas was abroad, so could Rooney be the one who sent the message? Why didn't she tell me directly, then?"

I leaned back into the sofa. Silas' funeral was the day after tomorrow. Should I go or not...

Theo said out loud next to me. He

looked at me with a smile on his face. "The funeral will most likely be safe. He won't choose to do it at the funeral It would be too stupid. The public would blame him directly if anything were to happen to you at the funeral. He won't set himself on fire, so it'll probably happen after that."

"So, I can still talk to him the day after tomorrow. Maybe I can get something from him."
