Chapter 212 Escaping from the Fire
Chapter 212 Escaping from the Fire
On the way out, someone pushed Jane.
It wasn't surprising. At that time, everybody was running for their life.
No one cared about others.
Randy and Charlee protected Jane while rushing to the escape tunnel.
"It's locked!"
The escape tunnel seemed to be under construction, as there were cement and explosives all over the
place.
When the guests came to the end, they realized they couldn't escape at all.
The door was very narrow, only one person could walk through it. Moreover, it was locked.
Everyone was shocked.
The room was not ventilated. The smell of smoke came out. People started coughing.
No one could survive for a long time in such an environment.
Someone cried in panic.
Most people knew how to escape from fire. The problem was the gas leak, it could explode at any time.
"I'm so afraid that I'll end up in ashes if it explodes."
Someone said in a depressed tone. Harrison had already fainted.
The guests had no choice. Someone ran to the second floor, only to find that there was no water! Not
even a single drop!
"No water!"
Everyone was in despair. The hotel was very high. If they jumped down from the second floor, they
would be crippled even if they did not die.
Besides, they couldn't even open the windows on the second floor!
The oxygen in the air was using up. Some of them could barely hold on.
People wet the handkerchief with wine and juice, covered their mouths with it. But it was even more
difficult to breathe.
The thousands of guests were all in chaos.
"I know where the water is."
Jane took a deep breath. It wasn't a favorable place, but right now she couldn't care too much. RêAd lat𝙚St chapters at Novel(D)ra/ma.Org Only
Jane took a handkerchief and went straight to the bathroom.
In this 6-star luxury hotel, toilettes for the guests were all electrically powered, connecting directly to the
water pipe, there was no function of storing water.
However, the employee's bathroom was equipped with an old-fashioned toilet. There must be water in
the tank.
Jane wet her handkerchief in the tank. Soon, people rushed in.
Everyone wanted to live, and for their own sake, they did not hesitate to fight!
"Jane, are you alright?"
Charlee looked at Jane worriedly, not knowing what to do.
Jane was pregnant, she must be kept safe.
"I'm fine. Let's go to the second floor."
Jane found an empty room near the parking lot. She pulled Charlee and Randy in and immediately
locked the door.
Otherwise, other people would quickly rush in and it would be a mess again.
At this crucial moment, they had to save themselves first.
Seeing Jane's behavior, Randy joined her by pretending to be panic too.
All of this was his design.
There was no gas leak. It was him who had closed the window, as well as the water valve. The escape
tunnel was also locked by him.
He had done everything just for gaining Jane's trust.
Whoever died could only blame himself for being unlucky. For Randy, it wasn't surprising at all to see
these selfish people fighting against each other.
Nobody would go far without being callous.
One reached the glory, and the others would have to sacrifice.
Randy's father was kind enough, but his business partner betrayed him.
Nelson was benevolent and righteous, he took everything on himself.
And the relatives didn't hesitate to sell the company where Nelson had spent all his passion on, as long
as there were benefits. They didn't do anything when Randy's mother killed herself. They didn't care
about Randy.
Those so-called relatives cared about nothing but money.
Randy smiled, although some people might die. He thought that these people deserved it.
He went far away, got plastic surgery, and vanished himself. Now he came back with a new identity, all
he wanted was revenge.
Now, it was William's turn. He was the culprit.
"Jane, are you trying to smash the glass?"
It was indeed a good idea to smash the window and put some air in. But there weren't any handful
tools. At it was high time for a traffic jam in City J. The firefighters couldn't possibly arrive in time.
"No."
Standing in front of the window and looking down from above, Jane happened to see that Pearl went
mad.
"Pearl, I'm here!"
Her phone was dead, Jane could only knock on the glass to attract Pearl's attention.
Pearl and Daisy heard the noise and looked up.
"Look, it's Jane!"
Daisy pushed Pearl, but she did not understand what Jane was trying to say.
They had gone to the hotel just now, it was locked from inside and no one could enter at all.
The soundproofing was too good, they couldn't hear each other.
Jane took out her phone. But it dropped by accident!
...
Charlee took out his phone only to find there was no signal.
Jane believed this wasn't a coincidence. Someone must have done it on purpose.
But it wasn't the time to focus on the details.
Jane suddenly had an idea. She took out a lipstick and started to write on the windows.
"There was an escape hammer in the car. Smash the glass with it. Start from the second floor."
"Jane wanted us to smash the glass!"
Daisy noticed Jane's writing and joined Pearl, who was completely furious.
Shortly after, the glass started to break.
"Bang!"
Charlee punched the glass with his fist and smashed it into pieces.
"Jane, you go first."
Charlee could jump out. But Jane couldn't.
It was too high, and there were no curtains anything. It was risky for anyone to jump, not to mention
that Jane was pregnant.
It wasn't a good idea to go out immediately.
"People are selfish. If we open the door now, people will flock to us and Jane won't be able to leave!"
Randy took a deep breath. What he said was the truth.
Indeed, people are all selfish, and those rich people would cherish their lives even more. No one would
expect them to have the slightest modesty.
It wasn't wise to test people at this point.
"Jane, what should we do? You can't jump!"
Pearl was so so anxious because even standing on the top of the car, it was still impossible to reach
the second floor.
Plus the firefighters hadn't come yet.
Pearl was ready to let Jane jump on her body.
"Don't worry, I have an idea!"
Jane stepped out and saw a water pipe on the left. She gave it a try and found it was firm enough.
...
Jane slid off by the pipe slowly. It was a short but dangerous move.
Then, Randy came out. Charlee opened the door and asked people to leave through this window.
People finally saw hope. They slid off with the help of the curtain.
"I can't thank you enough."
Jane didn't know how to express her gratitude, she was still in shock.
If not for Pearl waiting for her outside, Jane didn't know if she would have a chance to escape.
"I'm such a jinx. The doctor I brought here is useful."
Pearl went to the hospital with Jane.
She wouldn't have come if she knew what would happen. And she wouldn't allow Jane to come either.
The Floyds and the Carts were unlucky!
But since Daisy helped her to save Jane today. Pearl decided to forgive it.
Jane closed her eyes and felt suspicious, wondering who was the troublemaker's target.
