Jeffery put his elbow on the back of the seat, and then leaned on one side. He looked at her eyes, and

asked, "What are you going to do?"

Cathy didn't give her answer.

The next day, Jeffery came to her apartment and knocked on her door. He had been knocking for a

while, but no one opened the door.

Jeffery opened his laptop to search for her whereabouts. It took him almost a day to learn that Cathy

had gone abroad.

The next day after he had proposed to live together, Cathy had taken the plane to A Country.

and had registered with her identity card.

When he hacked into that hospital's system in A Country, he found her medical records.

Cathy had just finished the decorating and cleaning her newly rented apartment. Suddenly, someone

rang the door bell.

She was taken by great surprise when she looked through the peephole.

'How did he know that I was here?' She wondered.

Cathy didn't open the door. Jeffery stopped ringing, leaned against the door and waited outside.

In the evening, when Cathy had to go outside to buy groceries, they met each other face to face.

Jeffery only had a backpack with him. When he saw Cathy go downstairs, he followed her immediately.

When they entered the lift, he diligently pressed the button. He then turned around and asked, "Where

are you going?"

Cathy paused for a while, and then replied, "Market."

"I see."

He went to the market with Cathy. Jeffery didn't know how to cook, so he bought whatever Cathy asked

him to buy.

When they arrived at the second floor, Jeffery asked her to wait one moment. He ran to snatch

something quickly, including a toothbrush, and then threw them into the shopping cart.

Cathy's face turned red. She asked, "Why did you..."

He answered immediately, "To take care of my unborn baby."

Cathy asked, "How did you know that I am in A Country?"

He replied frankly, "I traced your departure records and tracked the logs on your rental apartment.'

After hesitating for a moment, she asked, "How did you know that I was pregnant?"

"I traced it back to you when you registered at the gynaecology and obstetrics with your ID card."

Cathy was speechless.

She didn't know how to feel about a man who could easily trace her whereabouts...

After he payed the bill, Jeffery carried the bag of groceries and held her hand. They left the market

together.

On the way back, Cathy suddenly whispered, "I bet that you couldn't trace the father of my baby."

He mused, 'If Cathy wants to live in A Country, perhaps I could consider buying a house here. Then I

could stay here with her and our child.' He asked, "Do you mean to say that I'm not the father of your

child?"

"Yes..."

at the man's back as he walked away.

Soon, Jeffery realized that she wasn't following him anymore. He turned around and said, "I know that I

am the father of your child."

Cathy didn't say a word. His words touched Cathy deeply. Although she tried to hold her tears, but she

failed. Soon, her eyes were filled with tears.

'Jeffery doesn't love me but why does he always move me so deeply?' She wondered.

Although Cathy led a simple life in A Country, she felt satisfied and happy.

There was a man who was willing to learn how to cook and work hard for her and their child.

One day, she heard Jeffery's voice chat wih his friend by chance. "Purple Charm, what have you been

up to recently? Why would you even accept an offer which will only pay you a few hundreds of

thousands?"

Jeffery replied, "Now I have my wife and my child to look after. I want to give them a better life. If there

is any task, let me know first. Okay?"
