True Fated Marriage (Grace and Heinz)

Chapter 227

Chapter 227

"What?" Hermione exclaimed in pleasant surprise. She was on cloud nine and the joy in her gaze could

not be concealed. On the other hand, Grace had to conceal her real feelings on the matter after seeing

how joyful Hermione was.

She did not want Hermione to be disappointed, but she didn't want Heinz to invest in this company just

because of her either.

She really hadn't expected Heinz to say so.

She felt helpless when she saw Hermione looking at her happily.

"Grace, Mr. Jones loves you so much! He even treats me so well because of you!" she exclaimed

exuberantly.

Grace forced a smile. "I'm sorry, chief editor, but I want to have a word with Mr. Jones in private. Could

you please excuse us?"

Hermione was stunned. She understood Grace's feelings and nodded. "Sure. I'll leave you two alone

so you can talk."

"I'm sorry, chief editor."

Hermione shook her head. "It's fine, I understand. Grace, you don't have to feel pressured. I want you

to know that whatever decision you make, I'll support you."

"Thank you." Grace was really touched.

"Don't feel pressured." Hermione promptly left the

room.

It was only then that Grace looked at Heinz. She just couldn't read what he was thinking, so she

opened her mouth and asked, "You said that you'd invest in this company because of me. What do you Belonging to NôvelDrama.Org.

mean by that?"

She really didn't want this to happen.

Heinz didn't have to invest in this company to please her.

He looked at her carefully. This time, he could deeply feel Grace's sensitivity to the subject.

"Heinz, I really hope you can separate your personal and professional life. This is good for both of us."

Grace said.

"Grace, I have good intentions."

"If you are going to be like that, both of us will be burnt out." She really didn't want this to happen.

Heinz looked at her and said, "I'm not tired."

"You're not tired but I am!" she exclaimed. "Indeed, if you are like this, I'll have to endure a great

psychological burden. If this isn't your strategic consideration, you don't need to invest in this company

because of me."

"Why are you so tensed up? Is this such a big deal?" He asked in a deep voice.

She nodded and answered, "Yup, this is a great burden for me. Also, things will get messy if we're not

in a relationship in the future." Her voice was low.

He frowned at her answer. "Have you ever thought

of leaving me?"

Grace was stunned, but she nodded her head and replied, "Nobody knows what will happen in the

future."

Heinz narrowed his eyes and looked at her coldly. After a long while, he questioned her, "Grace, how

can you have such a thought?"

"I don't want to rely on others."

"Okay, let me rephrase. I've decided to invest in this company and it has nothing to do with you." Heinz

said.

"How can I believe you?"

"What else do you want me to do then? Do you want me to go back on my word?" He quirked his

eyebrow as he asked in a low tone.

"Does the way you treated Simon Brown and Marry the last time not count as going back on your

word?" Grace asked him.

"They insulted you! How could I cooperate with them?" He frowned at her incredulously.

Grace replied, "Yes, I knew that you were doing it for me again."

"I don't regret it. Their personalities are so bad. They always want to take advantage of you, so why

should I cooperate with them?" Heinz said in a deep voice.

"But, I don't want you to invest in this company for me. I don't want to owe you anything." Grace

retorted.

"Why can't I do so? You're my girlfriend. You're loyal to me as well." "Then, let me ask you, could you

tolerate me doing something that you don't like by saying that I'm doing it for your own good?"

Heinz was stunned. He couldn't answer.

Grace knew that he needed to calm down and put himself in her shoes.

He remained silent.

He squinted and stared at her coldly, not saying a word as he lit a cigarette up.

Upon seeing this, Grace's heart skipped a beat.

Heinz took a deep puff of the cigarette and stared at Grace. No one knew how he felt.

After a long while, he sighed.

He felt helpless.

He finally understood that Grace's self-esteem was very strong. Perhaps he might have had good

intentions, but he couldn't do it in this way.

All of a sudden, he said, "I'm sorry."

Grace was dumbfounded. She did not expect him to apologize.

"It's not only because of you that I want to invest in this company. The other reason is that I respect

Hermione. I crippled Lorenzo, but she didn't sue me. So, I want to help her."

She was shocked again.

"I thought that you'd be touched if I say so. I didn't expect that you'd be hurt instead. I'm sorry."

This was the first time Grace ever saw him like this.

He'd even apologized to her!

Heinz continued, "Grace, I'm glad that I didn't tell Hermione I want to invest in this company to help her

after seeing your reaction. She might have a strong self-esteem as well and might reject me in the

end."

"Do you really want to invest in this company?" Grace asked patiently.

"For me, it doesn't matter whether I make money or not. I think it's more important to do something

meaningful rather than making money." Heinz said.

She widened her eyes and stared at him in surprise.

He continued. "Of course, it's also important to get some return on investment. Can you go out and

inform Hermione to come in now? I'll talk to her. The issue we're going to talk about has nothing to do

with you."

Grace pursed her lips and nodded slowly. "Okay."

Then, she got up and went out.

Hermione was standing far away. She had her arms wrapped around herself and was pacing back and

forth.

Grace called out to her, "Editor Lowe."

"Yes, Grace. What's your decision?" Hermione startled and made her way towards Grace quickly.

"Heinz is looking for you. He wanted to talk to you," Grace said.

"Well, okay." She promptly went into the meeting room.

Grace went back to her seat.

She didn't know what Heinz had said to Hermione, but the both of them came out of the conference

room half an hour later.

Hermione walked him to the entrance.

Heinz took a glance at Grace and left.

Grace heaved a sigh of relief.

After a short while, Hermione walked towards her. "Grace, Mr. Jones is waiting for you."

Grace was stunned.

"He requested a half-day leave for you."

She felt extremely embarrassed.

"He said, 'if you think he respects you, then you should go, but if you think otherwise, then don't. He'll

give you five minutes, and if you don't turn up by then, he'll leave. He won't be angry if you don't go,"

Hermione informed her.

Grace hesitated for a moment.

‘Should I go out?' she hesitated.

Hermione's gaze fell upon Grace and she smiled. "Mr. Jones said that he’s at his wits' end because he

just can't find the right way to court you properly."
