Brett frowned and said impatiently, "Izabella, don't lie. I believe my own judgment. You're saying this now just to make me not use you to save Kaley."

"Your judgment? Hahaha..." Izabella couldn't help but burst into laughter.

Watching her fall into a fit of laughter, Brett suddenly felt a chill in his heart. "Izabella, what are you laughing at?"

Reaching out to wipe the tears from the corner of her eye, Izabella slapped his hand away. "Nothing, I just didn't expect you to be so deeply in love. You and Kaley are such a perfect match.

Brett heard her sarcasm, but he might never have mentioned what happened six years ago if Izabella hadn't brought it up suddenly. Changing the subject, Brett asked, "Are you thirsty? I'll get you some water."

There was a water dispenser in the living room outside the bedroom. As Izabella watched Brett's retreating figure, she sat back on the bed and pinched her earring, feeling the faint scar there.
