Clara painfully covered her wound, staggered to her feet, and walked towards Emmett, “You’ve got what you wanted, let him go. Elio, you should leave! I won’t go with you. You shouldn’t come looking for me anymore. We’re just not meant to be!”
Emmett’s gaze fell on Clara’s face.
