Chapter 332
Noah Lander?
Zachary was confused at first, but he quickly realized they had mistaken him for his younger brother. As for the surname, Zachary figured Noah might have used Claude's name to fool others.
Zachary knew who Mark was. Mark was one of Xavier's men, so he probably was not a good person. He must have given Yvette hell before!
"Why are you grabbing me?" Zachary asked calmly, looking at Mark.
Mark was puzzled. Why wasn't Noah buttering up to others like he used to? Before, he would cry at the drop of a hat.Text © by N0ve/lDrama.Org.
Despite that, Mark didn't dwell on it. He took Zachary from the bodyguard. "Mr. Lane wants to see you."
Hearing that Xavier wanted to see him, Zachary stopped resisting and let Mark carry him to the car. He was curious about why Xavier had left Sangine County and was now outside Yandell Mansion. Was he tracking Yvette? The thought sent a chill down Zachary's spine.
What an evil man Xavier was!
The cold air from outside rushed into the car, where Xavier was waiting. Although he couldn't see, he had heard the commotion.
Mark said, "Mr. Lane, I've brought him."
Now seated in the car, Zachary studied Xavier intently. Was Xavier really blind? He decided to test it.
"Why did you bring me here? Are you planning to use me to threaten Mom again?"
Xavier didn't answer him but instead instructed Mark, "Take him back to Sangine County."
Hearing this, Zachary immediately protested. "I'm not going back to Sangine County. Let me go!"
If he went back to Sangine County, it
would put Yvette in a difficult
position. After all, she hadn't told Zachary about Xavier; how would she explain their relationship to him?
Xavier's dark eyes seemed to fix on him. "That's not up for you to decide. If you refuse to go, I'll have someone kill you now."
The man's imposing presence immediately silenced Zachary. Despite Xavier's blindness and amnesia, he was still a dangerous man.
Zachary mustered his courage, steadied his nerves, and said coldly, "All you can do is threaten a child. When I grow up, I'll make sure to kill you first."
Mark, who was outside the car, was stunned by Zachary's words and quickly carried him away.
He couldn't help but notice how
much Zachary resembled Xavier not just in appearance but in demeanor as well. They looked especially similar when he had threatened to kill Xavier once he grew up.
Mark brushed aside his strange thoughts as he got into another car. After all, he had personally taken care of the DNA test, which had confirmed that the boy wasn't Xavier's son.
Back in the Maybach, Xavier's expression remained unchanged. Shortly after, people came out of the mansion, and the bodyguard informed him that Yvette and Ray had left in a car.
Inside Yandell Mansion, Terrence was struggling and being supported by others. He stumbled outside and yelled, "Send the footage to the police. I want those two dead!"
Terrence was no longer the child who would submit after a beating. Now, he only feared those with more power and authority than him.
As for Ray, he was just a thug; Terrence believed that with more men, he could overpower him some day.
As Terrence schemed, the Maybach rolled up beside him. The window lowered, revealing Xavier's stern side profile.
"Who do you want dead?" Xavier asked.
Terrence froze upon seeing him. "Mr. Lane... I-I was just joking."
"If Yvvy faces even the most minor inconvenience, I'll have your head fed to the dogs," Xavier warned nonchalantly.
