Chapter 28 Mr. James' Heart Ached

In the hospital.

When Kara woke up and found herself in the hospital, she thought that she just had a nightmare.

"Kara?"

Hearing the familiar voice, she turned to look at James who looked haggard. Her eyes turned red and

tears fell down her cheeks.

"Uncle James, aren't you on a business trip abroad?"

"I'm back."

James touched her cheeks and felt the she was not in a fever anymore. Only then did her cold face

soften a little.

"Do you still feel uncomfortable?"

His voice was hoarse. It seemed that he had not rested for a long time. She held his large hands.

His hands were different from hers. His broad palms were warm, and his fingers were long. He had

beautiful hands.

When she wanted to get up, she felt powerless and realized that those things really happened.

"Uncle James, someone wanted to harm me." She pursed her lips and complained in grievance.

James held her small hand and saw that her eyes were filled with tears. His heart ached so much. He

wiped away the tears at the corner of her eyes with his other hand.

He normally did not like to see women crying. But when he looked at the tears on her face, he only felt

pity for her and angry at the people who did this to her.

He stood up and poured her a glass of water. He helped her get up and gently fed her the water.

"I will avenge those people for you. Be good, don't cry."

Kara felt a little better after drinking the water, but she was reluctant to let go of his hand.

When she fainted in the dressing room, she thought of him and prayed that he would come and save

her.

"Uncle James, you're so kind."

She put his hand on her face. It seemed that she would feel safe as long as he was there.

James waits for the little girl to fall asleep before withdrawing his hand. She moved closer to his hand in

her sleep. He rubbed her head with pity and turned around to leave the ward.

Standing outside the ward, Nolan organized the results of the investigation in his mind before reporting

it.

When he investigated the message in Kara's phone, he found out the phone number was disabled.

However, he was sure that the last place where the number was used was at Kara's school.

However, he hadn't found out whose number it was.

"Nolan, you said that someone harassed Kara this morning?"

Nolan paused for a moment and suddenly remembered that Emma was also a member of the

Hemmings family. Emma was the daughter of Mr. James' aunt, Emily. After Emily got divorced, she

brought Emma back to the Hemmings family.

He looked at Mr. James cautiously, and sweat appeared on his forehead.

"It was Emma. She brought a few students to Miss Kara's class and was beaten up by Arya, Miss

Kara's classmate. They left after that. Emma did not stay in the school after school."

Although Emma wasn't at school, it didn't mean that she wouldn't send someone else to do such a

Adam tottered into the house in reeking of alcohol. Rose saw that he almost fell, so she stepped

forward to help him.

Adam was drunk and couldn't think straight. He stared at the girl in front of him, who was young and

beautiful.

He leaned on her body. Rose could not hold him up and fell to the ground with him.

"What a beauty. The woman they send me this time is not bad."

Adam pinched her smooth and tender face and kissed her. It tasted too good. He lowered his head and

bit her lips. His hands were moving all over her body and he lifted her clothes.

Being treated like that, Rose's face turned red with anger and she wanted to vomit in disgust. But she

wasn't able to push him away and her mouth was blocked by him.

She kicked him on the crotch.

Adam gripped his crotch and curled up in pain. He stared at her gloomily.

Suddenly, someone slapped Rose on the face.

Before she could react, Rose was lifted from the ground.

Rose, she would strangle her to death with one hand.
