Chapter 35
Thunder’s POV
After Thunder and Jewel talked, he went straight to Cain’s condo but the young man was not there. He already knew that the friend was with Jewel during the times he left her. The day he found out everything to the private investigator, he quickly went to Cain. At first, they didn’t have a good conversation. He was even punched by his friend a few times for being a jerk. But later, they also got along when Thunder explained everything.
He only wants one thing to happen now. That is to be with his son and Jewel and be a whole family. He was overjoyed when he found out that Jewel and he had a child and he also found out from Cain that she had no other boyfriend since they broke up. So, he didn’t waste time, the next morning he immediately went to Jewel’s house to talk to her and confirm the truth to his wife but at first, it seemed like she had no plans to tell him but the good thing was he brought the DNA test result with him and with Storm. It was provided by David so that in case Jewel denies the truth, he has some evidence to prove it.
And now his problem was his child. He feels so sad and devastated to see his own child not wanting him to be his father. He can’t blame the child because he grew up without him and according to Jewel, the child knows the whole story of why they aren’t together. So, he wasn’t surprised to see that his child hated him for what he did to his mother. He regretted everything he had done in the past and he was ready to face all the consequences and can do anything just to get their forgiveness. He will not allow him to lose his wife and child again. He thought it’s also his fault for why these things happened. Because if he had only been a good husband back then to Jewel, they would probably be a happy family now. If he hadn’t hurt his wife, it wouldn’t have led to this situation.
He took his phone to call Cain just to ask him to have a drink. He can’t call Dark to have drinks. After all, he knew it was not possible because his girlfriend Calleigh was pregnant.
It took one minute before his friend answered the call. “Why did you call, T?” the latter asked on the other line
“Where are you? Are you with Monique? “he asked
“I’m not with her. She went to her friend’s place. She instructed me to go home. Why?”
“Let’s have a drink.”
“Looks like you’re in trouble. Where are you? I’ll go to your place so that we can talk about that?”
“I’m here at your condo so just hurry up,” he said before ending the call.”
He immediately entered his friend’s condo. He knew the security password of its door. When he was already inside the unit, he went straight to the refrigerator to take alcoholic drinks. He put it on a tray and carried it to the living room and started drinking while waiting for his friend to arrive.
Less than ten minutes later, Cain arrived. “You took so long outside,” he complained as his friend sat down on the sofa.
“As if you waited for me too long. I’ve already hurried to get home just to be here.” His friend countered him while shaking his head.
He took one bottle of beer. “What happened when you went to Jew’s place?” his friend asked in curiosity.
Thunder put down the wine he was holding before answering. “It didn’t go well.” He answered and sighed. “Why? What happened?”
“At first, Jewel was still stubborn and didn’t want to admit it.” He tells the story.
“As if you didn’t know your wife yet. She’s really like that and you can’t blame her after what happened to both of you.”
“I know and I understand her if she acted like that. That’s not what I’m worried about.”
Cain frowned. “What’s the main problem?”
He drank the bottle of beer he was holding before looking at his friend. “It’s about Storm.” he began to tell Cain what had happened between him and his son. Cain just listened until he finished telling the story.Exclusive © content by N(ô)ve/l/Drama.Org.
“We can’t blame Storm either. He’s still young for this but your son is smart and kind and knows if he’ll accept you soon. Storm loves his mom so much so if you want to win his heart, start with Jewel.” His friend suggested.
“That’s exactly what I’m going to do. Jewel needs to forgive me first so that we can get along.”
“Did she know that you are still married to her until now?” Cain asked in a second.
“She doesn’t know yet. I haven’t told her yet.” They just kept drinking and talking.
Thunder was very grateful to Cain because he didn’t leave his family behind when he was away. It was early in the morning when the two of them finished drinking. He decided to just spend the night here last night.
The next morning, Jewel woke up early to prepare breakfast for her son. She tried to talk to him yesterday but the child didn’t want to talk about what happened so she didn’t force him. Later on, there was a small arm that hugged her from behind. “Good morning, mommy,” the child greeted with a smile. The child’s eyes were still swollen from crying.
Jewel kissed it. “Good morning baby boy. How’s your sleep? Mommy cooks your favorite breakfast.” She let the child know and smiled sweetly. Without uttering words, Storm quickly went to the table and began to eat. She also took her plate to accompany the child. The way how her child eats was contagious especially if he likes the food she prepared. They were in the middle of breakfast when suddenly someone rang the doorbell. Jewel immediately stood up to open it. “Continue eating your breakfast. I’ll just see who it is.” Her son nodded quickly and continued eating.
When she opened the door, Thunder’s face appeared on her. “What are you doing here?” She asked quickly.
“Am I not allowed here? I want to see my son.” “I told you not now right? Please try to understand that Storm was still in shock.” Jewel calmly said and tried her voice to refrain from getting louder because the child might even hear it.
“Understand me too, Jewel. I just want to see my son.” Jewel was about to speak but stopped when Thunder smiled awkwardly behind her. When she looked at it, she saw Storm. “What are you doing here?”
“Storm, listen to me. I’m your father.” Thunder’s uttered in desperation.
“Stop lying!” The child shouted and broke into tears. This was not what he expected from his son’s reaction. Storm started to cry so Jewel quickly approached her child and carried. She sat on the sofa while hugging her son who was still crying.
Thunder, on the other hand, remained standing and just watched his wife and son hugging each other. “Baby, please stop crying.” Jewel comforted her child.
“He is lying right, mom? He is not telling the truth. He is not my daddy.” Storm uttered.
You could see in the child’s eyes that he was clouded by mixed emotions. “Storm, listen to me, baby,
“No, mommy! He is not my daddy. You know that I hated him and I don’t want to see him anymore. He hurt you that’s why I hated him also. That’s why at first you didn’t accept me and almost had an abortion, right? That’s all because of daddy. And I will never forgive him. I hated him to death!” He emotionally screamed at the top of his lungs while crying.
Jewel quickly looked at Thunder. She could see how the tears flowed in Thunder’s eyes. She knows how much pain that Thunder’s felt right now because of the words that their son left out and she wanted to apologize for it because she felt she was the reason why the father and son relationship had broken down.
“Please Thunder, leave first. I’m begging you.” She begged.
Thunder didn’t say a word and left immediately. He couldn’t bear to see his son hurt so he left first. But leaving does not mean that he will give up. When Thunder got into his car, he punched the steering wheel several times. Twice the pain he feels right now than punching the wheel because his son hated him.
“Ahhhhhhhhh!” he shouted as he continued to punch the steering wheel. He couldn’t quite imagine that the time would come when he would experience this kind of pain.
