Chapter 13 Relax

"Claudia, penny for your thought?" Hanna interrupted Amber's thinking.

Amber rolled her eyes. She felt jealous and looked at Ben, but he was indifferent.

"Ben, I..."

Amber was stammering because Ben's apathy made her at a loss.

Hanna hurriedly eased the situation and proposed to Amber, "Would you like to have a drink with me?"

Although Amber didn't want to talk to her, she had no chance to get close to Ben when Hanna was

there. She thought for a while and agreed, "Of course, it would be an honor."

Hanna smiled and took two glasses of wine from the tray. She handed one to Amber. "Cheers!"

She immediately drank it off.

Amber was slightly startled, but she didn't want to lo, so she braced herself and finished all of it, too.

Then they drank several more glasses.

Hanna drank like a fish and was hardly ever drunk. She tilted her head back, revealing her fair neck,

which looked more than sexy and alluring.

On the contrary, Amber was not much of a drinker. She was already drunk by then. She staggered on

her feet and her emotion got out of control. She yelled, "One more shot! Miss Lewis, let's go on..."

"That's it for today!" Hanna was decisive. She sent the waiter away with an excuse, and whispered a

few words in Amber's ear.

She whispered it in such a low voice, which made it even more frightening.

When Amber was walked out to sober up, she was still thinking of what Hanna had said. She gritted

her teeth and stamped her feet angrily.

“I know you love Ben, but he is already married. It's unethical to ruin your sister's marriage. You should

After Amber left, Hanna checked the entire banquet hall. At last, she found that Claudia was staying in

a corner quietly and lonely. Hanna couldn't help letting out a sigh.

As Hanna approached her, Claudia was trying to make up an excuse to get out of here. She didn't like

this kind of social event.

“You have been sitting here forever. Are you hungry?” Hanna asked.

Claudia hurriedly got up and shook her head with a smile.

“Maybe you’re not hungry, but the baby needs nutrients. Let’s get some food!”

Hanna said and walked Claudia to the food area.

Claudia wanted to refuse her, but Hanna didn't give her the chance to speak.

Several rows of tables were lined up in the food area, on which there were all kinds of desserts and

delicacies, from east and west.

There was also a special 35-story big cake, which was made according to the outline of the 35-story

Hanna stared at the cake and asked, "I heard that pregnant women have a sweet tooth. Do you like

sweets?"

Claudia lowered her head. She just wanted to grab something and leave as soon as possible, anything

Hanna said. She took a plate and got a piece of cake for Claudia.

There was a champagne tower next to the giant cake. Although it had missed a few glasses which had

been taken by the guests, it still stood tall.

“You need to eat more for the baby. You’re too skinny.” Hanna suggested and handed her some cakes.

Claudia took the plate politely and expressed her gratitude.

The cakes looked delicious. Even if she had no appetite, she still found them delicious.

Before Claudia was about to eat, someone next to her exclaimed in surprise.

“Be careful!” Hanna also exclaimed, and at the same time, she slammed Claudia away.

All of a sudden…

Claudia was pushed and fell to the ground, her abdomen started aching.

Just by then, the huge cake and champagne tower tilted and collapsed. They smashed on Hanna right

on where Claudia was standing.

Hundreds of glasses fell and shattered. The shards scratched her, and she was bleeding!

Claudia was shocked. She ignored the severe pain in her lower abdomen and struggled to get up. Ben

strode over and pushed away Claudia as she was about to help. He hugged Hanna nervously.

In an instant, Claudia heard his gentle voice, "Hanna, how do you feel? I'll take you to the hospital!"

Hanna was badly injured, and her skin was cut when she was hit by the falling wine glasses and dinner

plates.

There were many bloodstains on her tender skin, blood oozing out.

Ben hugged her, and his pupils shrank. "Hanna, hang in there!"

He picked up Hanna and stepped over Claudia, without even looking at her. He then walked through

the crowd and left.

He was indifferent as if Claudia was merely a stranger!

Claudia felt a sharp pain in her heart as if there were a knife stabbing.

But the pain in her abdomen was even more severe than that in her heart. Her forehead was leaking

sweats. A warm liquid dripped between her legs, and she was shocked and wondered if she was going

to lose the baby.

“Help!”

She opened her mouth, but she couldn’t make a sound.

There were plenty of people around. They were enjoying this show. None of them cared about Claudia.

She wanted someone to save her baby.

She didn't care about her safety at all, but she cared much about her baby.

At this critical moment, an upright figure squeezed out of the crowd and walked over quickly. It was

Scott. He squatted down in front of her. "Claudia, what happened?"

As he asked, he already noticed that she was bleeding.

He picked her up without hesitation. "Claudia, I will take you to the hospital!"

Just as they were leaving, Winifred arrived. Seeing Claudia's bleeding, she was startled and cried out,

"Oh my God!"

She asked her secretary to notify Doctor Gerren of the obstetrics and gynecology department

immediately.

Garren was the exclusive doctor Winifred found for her grandson. After the baby was born, she would

do a genetic test for hidden diseases!

Winifred was cautious. She eliminated disasters while they were primeval.

When she arrived at the hospital, Claudia was still clear-minded, but the pain in her abdomen was so

sharp that her hands couldn’t stop tearing things.

Scott held her tight all the way, letting her slender hands tear his suit. He kept telling her, "It's okay,

Claudia, relax! Relax!"

The doctors in the gynecology department were ready. They sent Claudia to the delivery room right

away. Winifred followed them.

Blair and Amber came with her.

Claudia was lying in bed. She had a bad feeling about this upon her first glance at the surroundings.

While the doctor was preparing for the delivery, she sent a text message to Kim.

“Help!”
