Liora Valentine didn’t know how Freya Stone got involved with Elijah Silverton. Just moments ago, she heard Elijah mention something about divorce. What was happening here?

Inside the car, Freya Stone seemed dejected, like a frost-bitten eggplant, hanging her head in despair. This decision weighed heavily on her. Leaving would mean breaking her promise to Jack Silverton. Without him, her mother might never get the surgery she needed. It felt ungrateful to abandon someone who had shown her kindness.

She suddenly looked up, “Didn’t you want a divorce? I’m willing to divorce, and now you’re hesitating. Could it be you’ve fallen for me?”

Elijah’s expression paused for a moment, then he sneered, “I don’t want a divorce because I want you around, suffering. I would have fallen for you? Dream on!”

Freya bit her lip. This man was truly sinister, willing to exploit even his own marriage to torment her. His nature was malicious to the core.

In the next moment, Elijah reverted to his usual self. “Get out!”

Freya thought, “I’d rather not ride in your car!”

Noticing the handprint on her face, Xander was surprised, wondering if Elijah slapped her.
