You Are My Mr Right

Chapter 66

Her teary-eyed appearance fell into Elijah’s eyes. She quickly wiped away the tears from her face, forcing a smile. Even if Elijah did see it, he might think he was mistaken.

Why did she cry?

Because she was mistreated by Liora Valentine today?

Elijah walked in, “Do you want me to find a boxing studio for you?”

Freya, “…”

What was he talking about?

“Weren’t you upset because Liora Valentine hit you earlier today?” Elijah sat on the sofa, one arm resting on the back of the chair, the other hand unbuttoning his suit.

“She doesn’t deserve it.” Freya said.

“Then why did you cry?”

Freya replied stubbornly, “When did I cry?”

Elijah frowned, his eyebrows almost meeting in the middle.

He clearly saw it.

Could she die from showing a moment of weakness in front of him?

The constant act of disguising herself was truly annoying.

He stood up, heading upstairs. He didn’t want to look at her.

Linda nudged Freya with her elbow, “Madam, can you do me a favor?”

Freya didn’t ask what it was, just agreed, “What is it? Just tell me.”

Linda was too kind to her. So, whatever Linda asked for, she would not refuse. However, she didn’t know that Linda was also crafty.

“I forgot to put the bathrobe and towels in the bathroom Mr Silverton uses. His temper is not good. If I go up now, he will definitely scold me. Can you help me by taking them up now?”

Elijah usually took a bath and changed into comfortable home clothes when he came back.

Freya looked at Linda.

“You forgot?”

Why did Linda seem so intentional?

“Yes, I forgot. Are you unwilling to help me? Forget it, I’ll go by myself. If I get scolded, so be it!” Linda made herself look pitiful.

“Or, I’ll go.” Freya finally agreed.

Linda immediately smiled and handed the washed and folded bathrobe and towel to her, “Thank you for taking them up.”

Freya clearly saw through Linda’s intentions.

Wasn’t it just matchmaking her and Elijah?

Doing loyal deeds for others, Freya took the things and went upstairs. Knocking on Elijah’s door,

But no one came to open the door. She tried to turn the handle. The door wasn’t locked from the inside. It opened with a push.

No one was in the room. The sound of running water came from the bathroom.

Was Elijah already in the bathroom?

Freya looked at the things in her hand, walked over, and knocked on the door. Inside, there seemed to be a reaction to the outside noise. The sound of running water stopped.

Freya took a deep breath before saying, “Linda forgot to leave towels and robes in the bathroom, I brought them up for you, they’re hanging on the door, right?”

There was no response inside.

Could it be that he didn’t hear her?

Freya asked again, “I hung them on the doorknob for you?”

Still, no one answered. She decided on her own. Just as she was about to hang the towel and robe on the door, the bathroom door suddenly opened from the inside.

A refreshing scent of shower gel wafted out with the opening door. After the shower, his black hair was damp and messy. The deep eyes under his wet hair carried a hint of playfulness.

“You brought me a robe?” asked he.

Freya’s gaze fell on him. The white robe wrapped around his tall and straight figure, with the collar slightly open, revealed the honey-colored skin and strong chest, emitting an undeniable male charm. She realized she had stared too much and quickly averted her eyes.

Was there a robe in the bathroom?

Even if Linda wanted to play matchmaker, she should have at least come up with a decent reason.

Freya felt so embarrassed at this moment. Elijah must think she deliberately came to flirt.

“You have them now, I’ll just take these away.” After saying that, Freya immediately tried to leave, but Elijah grabbed her arm.

Freya didn’t even look back, explaining, “Linda said you forgot these in your bathroom, so I came to bring them. Maybe she forgot, but she thought she had already put them for you.”

After saying that, she smiled awkwardly. “Did I disturb you?”

Elijah stared at her with his deep eyes. He thought that her explaining was worse than not explaining. He only wanted her initiative, even just a word.

But even if she hadn’t rambled on for half an hour, he would also understand.

Thus must be Linda’s idea. Or Freya wouldn’t have appeared at his bathroom door.

He let go of her hand. Coldly stepping out, as he passed by her, whether intentional or unintentional, his body bumped into hers. Freya couldn’t stand steady and staggered, almost falling.

Elijah, in front of her, took off his robe, revealing his muscular body. With his back to Freya, he said, “Aren’t you leaving yet? What, planning to watch me change?”

Freya lowered her head and quickly walked out.

The door closed, and she stood at the doorway, looking at the robe and towel in her hand, sighing helplessly. But because it was Linda, she couldn’t say anything and could only put these things in the cabinet.

During dinner, Linda said, “Go call Mr Silverton.”

Frey looked at Linda, who really didn’t let any opportunity slip by. Freya wanted to say to Linda, “Stop matchmaking us.” But she couldn’t say it. She could only nod.

“I’ll go now.” Said she.

Freya went upstairs and knocked on Elijah’s door.

“It’s time for dinner.” After saying that, she walked away.

This time she was clever. Before Elijah could open the door, she had already gone downstairs.

During dinner, she only lowered her head, quickly finishing her meal. Linda couldn’t stand it and said while serving dishes, “Madam, didn’t you say you wanted to see the lanterns? How about asking Mr Silverton to go with you later? I still need to water the flowers outside.”

Freya couldn’t hold back and lifted her face from her bowl. “Linda, didn’t you just water them?”

“They got dry again.” Linda replied.

Freya sighed. She looked up at Elijah. “Are you busy? You probably don’t have time, right?”

“I’m not busy today.” Elijah stood up.

Freya didn’t understand what he meant. He was a smart person; he should be able to see that Linda was deliberately trying to matchmake them.

“You probably wouldn’t like to see lanterns, would you?” asked Freya.

“I think it’s good to relax occasionally.” Replied he.

“Do you know Linda is doing this on purpose? Why don’t you refuse?” asked she.

“I can see you’re not willing to be with me. Then I’ll reluctantly agree.” Said he.

Freya was speechless.

So, she and Elijah went out together to see the lanterns.

The wind by the river was a bit cool, messing up her hair. Freya looked around, and the voices of children filled her ears.

“Mama, this lantern is shaped like a panda, so cute.”

“Mama, this one is a giraffe.”

“This one is a lion.”

While Freya was attracted by the lanterns, a child running fast, not paying attention to the road, bumped into her legs. The child was holding candied hawthorns and looked up, calling, “Mama…”
