Chapter 300
Chapter 300
Gwen glanced at the woman who came in and ordered coldly, "Make this woman leave." She couldn't tell anyone about her request to murder someone else in front of outsiders. She had to avoid leaving any clues.
Hearing that, the woman cursed inwardly, How dare an old and ugly woman rob her man! Just because she was rich? She didn't believe George would kick her out.
Walking up to him, she leaned against his shoulder. "Georgie, I don't want to leave. Didn't you say you love me?"
Now that George was rich, he had no feelings for her, so he pushed her away. "Go away and don't bother me. Get out of here."
Clenching her teeth, she pestered him. "Don't do this to me, Georgie."
George thought she was annoying, so he dragged her away, threw her out of the yard, and shut the door. Original content from NôvelDrama.Org.
Feeling aggrieved, the woman started wailing at the door. "George, you b*stard! How could you kick me out? You haven't even paid me yet!" However, no one bothered to entertain her while George returned to the living room.
"She's out, Gwen. Go on!"
Adeline sat on the side, quietly watching the siblings, realizing that they looked very much alike.
Gwen then sent him a photo of Patricia. "I want you to kill this woman."
Looking at the woman in the photo, he narrowed his eyes. "Your husband and his ex-wife's daughter?"
The woman in the photo took after her mother's beauty, but that didn't matter when her fate was bad. She was unlucky to meet his family because that would guarantee an unpeaceful life for her and her mother.
"Sure!"
Adeline widened her eyes slightly in disbelief. He didn't even blink an eye when her mother told him to murder someone! It turned out that he was quite obedient to her mother!
"Aren't you scared, Uncle George?" Adeline couldn't hold back her curiosity when she blurted the question. All of a sudden, she admired her mother for having such great foresight. In the future, she must try to get along with her uncle and seek his help when needed.
George chuckled, "I take your mother's kindness to heart. That's why I won't hesitate to do anything for her."
Gwen smiled upon hearing that. "Georgie, I'll leave this matter to you. If you want to hire a killer, I can pay as much as they ask."
George snorted in response, "I don't need no killer for a defenseless little woman." He sounded quite confident and proud.
Despite that, Adeline was still uneasy. "Patricia, that brat, is skilled at combat. I heard she has a black belt in taekwondo, and I witnessed how she knocked down five bodyguards all by herself. She's a fierce one."
They had to make sure that their mission was foolproof this time. They couldn't let Patricia live.
Raising his brow confidently, George reassured, "Don't worry. I have skilled men under me."
…
In the president's office of Arnold Corporation, Patricia was working when Isaac came in after a meeting. Standing in front of her desk, he looked at her affectionately.
Sensing his gaze, she raised her head. "You're back. Wanna grab coffee?"
She no longer felt pressured when facing him. They were just like a smitten young couple.
Smiling sweetly, she recalled what happened in the morning. She was amused by her two sons' hostility toward him because they finally showed him how difficult it was for him to marry her.
Reaching out to her chin, Isaac lifted it and leaned in to kiss her. Just then, the door to the office was pushed open, and Rose's voice sounded, "Isaac, Old Mrs. Arnold and I happened to pass by, so we're here to deliver you some treats."
Isaac frowned slightly when he heard the voice behind him.
He almost had a taste of the most delectable treat in front of him. After hours of meeting, he was tired. He just wanted to have a taste of her and relieve his weariness. Now that he was interrupted, he was annoyed.
Prying off his slender fingers, Patricia stood up with a scarlet face.
"Hello, Old Mrs. Arnold." She headed out and greeted Elizabeth with a smile.
