Amelia POV

” Dae,” I said with surprise as I approached the conference room with anxiety since it was my first time.
” Do you know him?” Mr Smith asked as he turned to me while Dae looked so surprised also.
” Yes, we both met at the hospital before my dad died” I replied to Mr. SmiSmith’srds with a smile on my face.
” Does Bryan know”
” Dad this a family matter and not a business issue,” Bryan said with annoyance as he hit hard on his table. ” Sorry, for the inconvenience you all” Bryan concluded with a smirk as myself and my father approached the vacant chair set for me.
As fate could hold it, I sat opposite Dae during the whole meeting. It was an interesting one to talk about, I just couldn’t get my eyes out of Dae but to smirk anytime he looks at me with his romantic look.
” Amelia, what your way on his business deal” Mr. Smith called to me since I already think my actions are getting noticeable. I gave a smile at first to what Mr Smith said still looking at Dae.
When I finally got my eyes away from Dae my words came back” Signing an exclusive contract is something much better which would help promote the company further and also the pay there would be great since it an exclusive. There is higher chances of earning ” my words weren’t complete when I got a distraction immediately.
” I oppose that sir” Bryan stood up giving me a nasty look.
” What do you mean?” I asked with anger in my voice already.
“Exclusive Contracts aren’t for newbies to handle, I think a primary contract is better” Bryan exclaimed with a negative smirk.
” I thought she was your assistant and not your boss,” Dae said immediately with a mild smirk on his face as I looked in his direction. Others in the conference room just focused on watching the display while we acted for them.
” Hey, it okay” Mr Smith screeched out which shows a lot of anger in his voice. I just calmed down and cleared my throat facing down while Bryan apologized to everyone same with Dae.
” Amelia” Mr Smith yelled my name with anger which was his actual first time doing so to me.
” Am sorry for this” I said to everyone with a smirk as they nodded in response to the forgiveness I pledge for.
Few minutes, every single debate was automatically completed and it was an interesting one for one since it was my first time to be part of something much more exclusive than my former life of standing at the desk each time. Life would be so much more interesting and less stressful if how it would be always.

” I wasn’t asking you to beg, you were not at fault,” Mr Smith asked as I sat opposite direction of him in his office with a smirk and no assistant with me.
” Am sorry, Father” I said to him with a slight bow and a serious look that tells more ‘ am begging ‘.
Mr Smith just looked at me and smiled” Small girl ” he said as he stood up from his chair walking closer to the coffee stand.
” Father, can I ask you something?” I said looking in his direction and his every footstep he made.
” Go on” he turned around to me with a cup half filled with coffee.
” Father, why does Bryan work here no,” I asked with a smirk to him.
” That a hard one” he replied.
” Okay,” I said.
” He was staying in Mexico to complete his studies”
” So that’s why he wasn’t working here” I questioned cutting short Mr Smith’s statement immediately.
” He had to go for his master’s degree award,” Mr Smith said returning to his previous sitting position.
” When he was done with studying we both planned a wedding for him with a girl he loves but things turned around when the girl betrayed him a few weeks before the wedding and then you surfaced,” Mr Smith said while he sipped his coffee gradually still looking at him.
” I don’t understand,” I said with a flabbergasted eyesight.
” You can’t understand now, it’s something for another day; I have another meeting ” he paused looking at his wristwatch” 2 pm,” he said as I stood up.
” Thanks, a lot,” I said walking out of his office with thoughts within myself.
I walked down the hallway with the thought of how I became a substitute bride for him and not a main bride for him. ” Hey..” a hand tapped me on my shoulder as I turned around with fear.
” Hi,” I said to Dae as two big guys were at his back while Amanda was by my side.
” Can we have maybe lunch or dinner someday” This statement from Dae made my delightedt delightedly after asking the substitute bride Scanda.?
” Yes, we can,” I said with a smile.
” This my card” he handed over a piece of card to them which was decorated beautifully well.” Call me when you are free,” he said as he gave a slight bow and left immediately.
