A Relentless Pursuit for Love

Chapter 283

Chapter 283

Chapter 284 Yeva rushed to Rosa Gardens the night Braxton’s back was broken. She went to the Norah Group building but she was blocked by security guards saying she was not allowed to enter as she was a nobody. She decided to wait for Sage at Rosa Gardens. She was not a good driver and it was raining heavily. The traffic was insane that night, she was driving her convertible sports car and was drenched head to toe.

While she was drenched in the rain, her contact lenses fell off and she couldn’t see the roads clearly. Other cars tailgated her and wanted to beat her up. Luckily she was pretty enough, and pleaded the drivers to not take things any further. Yeva finally reached Rosa Garden after going through all that. Her fighting spirit was almost gone at this point. She looked wrenched. When she walked into the dining hall, Sage and Leah were having dinner together, and Hunter was around too. He was there because he wanted to spend more time with Leah.

Zamora got the shock of her life when she saw Yeva, “Oh my gosh! Were you attacked by a haunting spirit? What on earth happened to you?”

The three of them looked in Zamora’s direction upon hearing that. They almost didn’t recognize Yeva. Yeva never had any luck with the rainy weather. She’d always ended up looking horrible.

Sage gave ger a onceover, “Were you haunted by a Chowchows’ spirits?” Hunter and Leah looked at each other and nodded. They felt that Sage’s description was perfectly fitting for Yeva’s look!

Yeva had just dyed her hair into a golden blonde and all that rainwater had clumped her hair onto her face. She did resemble a Chowchow. “Sage, this is all because of you!” Yeva regained her fighting spirits and she dashed toward Sage.

….

From far, Yeva looked horrible. She looked even worse up close.

Sage said quietly, “You really look like this bowl of chili.”

Yeva looked down at herself. Her newly dyed hair hasn’t set yet and the dye soaked through her red dress.

“Pfft!” Hunter and Leah couldn’t control themselves any longer and they burst out laughing.

She really looked like a bowl of chili now!

Yeva’s face darkened with yellow streaks of dye on it. She came here today to reprimand Sage, but she didn’t think she’d be ridiculed instead.

“What are you laughing at? This is all because of you!” She let it all out at once, pointing at Sage, “Sage Norah! Why’d you allow your staff to beat up my father? He’s your uncle, aren’t you afraid of the consequences?”

Sage scoffed. “You’ll receive it before I do. You guys would be long gone by then! Stop being ridiculous.” “You’re cursing us now?” Yeva fumed with anger, “Why are you so evil, Sage?”

Leah couldn’t take it anymore, “Yeva, you cursed Sage first. You’re such a hypocrite!” “Shut the hell up! You’re not qualified to speak!” Yeva shifted her anger towards Leah. Hunter raised his brows, “If Mrs. Jefferson is qualified to speak in here, why can’t Leah speak her words? Mrs. Jefferson, please respect the home of others. We wouldn’t want to beat you up next.”

Hunter learned a lot from Sage being her employee for years. Yeva froze. She suddenly realized she became a nobody in this household, she couldn’t even bully Leah now. From NôvelDrama.Org.

“Good, it’s good to be acknowledged. I’m a member of the Jefferson family now. My husband will make sure that you’ll be bankrupt if you continue bullying me or my father!”
