A Successful Career After Divorce

Chapter 803: The Demon

This disregard for others’ lives made Ranita very angry.

“Aldo, do you think a human life is as valuable as money?”

Ranita curled her lips into a cold smile.

“You almost got Brendon killed.”

Aldo glanced at the surveillance camera and said in a low voice, “You’re wrong. He didn’t almost die because of me; it was because of you.”This is the property of Nô-velDrama.Org.

“Even though I don’t like scumbags, he is the goddess’s fiance. I don’t want anything to happen to him. Blame yourself; it’s because of you that he was injured and almost died.”

Aldo chuckled softly, his laughter resembling that of a demon from hell.

Looking at the not-so-young boy in front of her, Ranita felt no sympathy or pity.

“You’re really pathetic!” Ranita continued, “What can you gain by going crazy for Shannon?”

“I can’t gain anything, but I can’t stand seeing her bullied.” Aldo’s eyes turned wild. “She was supposed to be very happy, but because you took her fiance, she became sad and hurt.”

“Anyone who makes her suffer will be punished.” Aldo paused and said logically, “I’m not pathetic; everything is worth it for her.”

“She is so pure, so beautiful and kind, like a little rabbit that needs protection. She deserves to be cherished and loved.”

“She comes from a noble background. How can someone like you bully and defile her?”

Aldo’s level of devotion left Ranita speechless.

Ranita calmed herself and asked indifferently, “It seems you know Miss Murphy very well!”

“Of course I know her. I know everything about her!” Aldo said proudly. “What exactly do you want to ask?”

Ranita smiled. “Nothing, just that it’s a pity you know Miss Murphy so well, yet she doesn’t even recognize you.”

Aldo was visibly stunned and said with a twisted expression, “It doesn’t matter if she doesn’t know me. As long as I keep her in my heart.”

“Isn’t it unfair to give your heart without getting anything in return?” Ranita paused and continued, “Shannon doesn’t know you, and she even explained to me that you’re just a hater, not a fan.”

“You are sincere, but she doesn’t acknowledge you as her fan. You are really pitiful!”

Ranita’s tone was indifferent and slightly disdainful. Aldo glared at her fiercely, barely controlling his emotions: “Don’t talk about my goddess like that. She is the best! I am her one and only fan!”

“Who knows? Anyway, that’s what she said about you in front of me.” Ranita finished speaking, and Aldo clenched his fists and said angrily, “You don’t need to sow discord; I won’t fall for it.”

“What do you want to hear from me?” Aldo seemed to regain control of his emotions and showed a malicious smile: “I did it. If you have the guts, send me to jail.”

Seeing that Aldo didn’t reveal any flaws, Ranita didn’t bother to waste more words.

“Aldo, are you so proud because you think we can’t do anything to you?”

“What else?” Aldo’s attitude was extremely arrogant.

Ranita laughed softly and leaned closer, her eyes full of confidence as she said, “Aldo, you seem quite smart and don’t look like someone with a mental illness.”

“And then?” Aldo spread his hands indifferently.

Ranita’s smile widened, her voice light and soft but hiding a cold edge as she said, “There is a place in this world much worse than prison.”
