A strong body carried the dampness of water, with only a towel wrapped around the waist, barely covering the essentials. Above the waist, smooth and beautiful muscle lines were exposed, with water droplets rolling down, exuding a strong sense of hormones. In an instant, the atmosphere in the entire room became tantalizing.

“Why… why aren’t you wearing clothes?” Ranita was so startled that she sat down on the edge of the bed with a thud, her eyes involuntarily glancing at him. Brendon without clothes was incredibly attractive! Ranita’s heart was in her throat, and she almost screamed.

“You didn’t give me any clothes!” Brendon shrugged, not minding at all as he climbed into her bed. “Baby, come here!”

“What… what are you calling me?” Ranita was speechless. “Don’t call me that. I don’t have any clothes for you to wear; just wear what you had before…”

“No need, those clothes are dirty.” Brendon lay down and patted the spot next to him. “Come here, you should rest too!”

Ranita hesitated but eventually moved closer. As soon as she got near, Brendon pulled her into his arms. “Go to sleep.”

“Mm…” Ranita closed her eyes, but Brendon’s body temperature was too high. Being so close to him made her heart race, and she couldn’t calm down to sleep.

“Are you feeling down today?” Brendon suddenly asked softly, his tone gentle and comforting. “Tell me about it.”

Ranita felt wronged. She didn’t know how to tell Brendon.

“It’s nothing… just go to sleep!” Ranita said, her fingers quietly moving towards his hand, wanting to hold it. But before she could act, Brendon had already grabbed her fingers.

He clasped her fingers tightly, intertwining them with his own, and held her closer. “I’m here for you! Don’t think about anything else; just sleep.”

Ranita had been running around all day and had been troubled by Chole. She was indeed exhausted. After the initial excitement of seeing Brendon, she had calmed down.

During breakfast, Jedidiah mentioned hearing strange noises early in the morning, which scared Ranita out of her wits. Fortunately, Jedidiah didn’t pursue it further.

Soon after, Chole returned and gave Ranita a cold glance before turning and entering her room.

Ranita took Ayaan to the hospital.

Alexia had been injured, but fortunately, it wasn’t serious. Her spirits were high, and when she saw Ayaan, she immediately hugged him tightly.

“Ayaan, Grandma missed you so much!” Alexia had been most worried about Ayaan these days. Although she still felt a bit unwell, she now felt completely better and immediately clamored to be discharged.

Ranita didn’t know whether to laugh or cry.
