A Successful Career After Divorce

Chapter 851: The Date

“So many people, how can we kiss?”

Ranita was speechless and gently pushed him away. “Stop it!”

Brendon stared at her with dark eyes and quickly kissed her on the cheek, precise and swift.

After the kiss, he laughed softly in her ear and teased, “Just a kiss, don’t overthink it.”

Ranita felt her mind burning. She hadn’t been thinking anything! She glared at Brendon, gritting her teeth. “I wasn’t!”

“I just…”

This was different from what she expected. Brendon’s kisses were usually lingering and passionate, but this quick peck felt bland.

Ranita was extremely annoyed. “I’m not talking to you! I’m leaving!”

“Where to?” Brendon caught up with her immediately and grabbed her wrist, holding her fingers tightly in his hand.

“Since we’re out, why don’t we go on a date?” Brendon held her hand and pulled her towards his car.

Ranita’s eyes sparkled as she looked at him. “A date? Where to?”

“How about a movie?” Brendon said, taking a bouquet of roses from the trunk and handing them to Ranita. “Do you like them?”

The roses were unique, dried roses that looked like an oil painting, very beautiful! It was the first time Ranita had received roses from Brendon. She stared at him in a daze before finally squeezing out a sentence, “Did you buy these?”

“Yes!” Brendon looked a bit nervous, like a young boy in love. “I thought these roses were beautiful and suited you perfectly!”

“They’re lovely!” Ranita couldn’t help but smile at him, her eyes curving into crescents, brighter than the sunlight shining on her.

It was like a beam of light shining into Brendon’s heart.

“As long as you like them.” After a pause, Brendon asked, “What movie do you want to watch?”

Ranita was in a particularly good mood and leaned closer. “What are the options?”

“By the way, I should tell you that the best place to watch a movie is at the downtown cinema. The screen is better, and the seats are more comfortable.”

“Okay,” Brendon agreed.

There weren’t any major releases recently, but there were some decent foreign romance films. Ranita picked one. “Let’s watch this one.”

It was still early, so there weren’t many people at the cinema. Brendon booked a comfortable VIP screening room.

Romance films always have some steamy, ambiguous scenes.

The scale wasn’t large, but in the dark and narrow space, it felt magnified… Ranita felt a bit embarrassed watching it.

“Hmm?” Suddenly, Ranita noticed that Brendon had wrapped his arm around her waist, his fingers gently stroking up and down.

“Let go of your hand,” Ranita whispered in his ear, looking around. “Don’t hold me.”

Brendon took the opportunity to kiss her on the chin. “The atmosphere is so good; shouldn’t we kiss?”

“Stop it…” Before she could finish her sentence, she saw the couple in front of them passionately kissing.

Looking around again, others were also lost in their kisses.

Are young people today this open?

“Should we join in?” Brendon whispered in her ear with a laugh, noticing her embarrassment.

Ranita secretly pinched his hand and gritted her teeth. “No way!” Before she could finish speaking, Brendon had already pulled her close and kissed her deeply.

The atmosphere suddenly became heated.

The hidden excitement made adrenaline surge, and Ranita felt like her heart was about to fly out of her chest.
