Chapter 534
Victoria had met numerous shameless people before, but none of them were as shameless as Trevor!
Victoria was so angry that she shrieked on the inside. Trevor walked past her and opened her wardrobe. His rough palm stroked through the rows of colorful clothes and stopped at a black silk ribbon pajamas. A hint of playfulness flashed across his eyes.
Noticing the faint marks on the ground and Trevor's little frivolous actions, Victoria's face and ears instantly turned red. She was a step closer to losing her mind, yet she wasn't certain if she was angry or shy!
Trevor finally felt assured. When he turned around, he saw Victoria staring at him through gritted teeth, as if she wanted to rip him to pieces.
He didn't feel what he did was wrong. He walked back to her side and pinched her red cheeks, then said, "You are my woman. I will not allow anyone to touch you. If you go against this rule..."
Trevor was serious. It was his warning. Victoria was so furious that she was lost for words. When did she become his woman?
Victoria was on the verge of bursting. She pushed his hands away, then took a pair of disposable slippers from the wardrobe and threw them on the ground. "Change into these!" she shouted.
After that, Victoria pulled her hair then turned around and went into the bathroom to change into lounge wear.
Her utmost pet peeve was a dirty bedroom, she absolutely despised it. When she walked out of the bathroom, Victoria picked up a clean mop and started mopping her bedroom. After mopping each section, she would wipe the floor once more with a fresh rag.
Trevor was taken aback when he saw that. "Victoria can't stand untidiness, can she?"
Trevor stood still throughout the entire cleaning process and did not move the slightest.
Victoria was a completely different person when she was busy cleaning. She wasn't soft and gentle at all, she even kneeled down when she was mopping the floor, she seemed very lively and energetic. In an instant, Trevor felt nothing but warmth in his heart. The sight of Victoria projected a beautiful scene in his mind.
There was a playful child running around the house with a graceful woman chasing after him. The woman was laughing and scolding the child while she was mopping the floor...
At the thought of it, Trevor chuckled inadvertently.
As she stood back up, Victoria noticed Trevor giggling at the corner. She was fuming in anger at his reaction. "Is it really that funny? It's so dirty because of you, don't ever step into my room again!"
She pushed him towards the wall and said, "Get out!"
It was obvious that she didn't want him to dirty the floor that she'd mopped a while ago. At that moment, Victoria was wearing a large T-shirt with her sleeves rolled up. Even in her lounge wear, she still looked as good as she was dressing up. Trevor then wrapped his arms around her waist and pulled her towards him.
"You're a clean freak, aren't you? I guess that's a good habit after all. However, you'll have to get used to my existence in your life from now on!" Otherwise, she would've to clean the floor constantly in the future!NôvelDrama.Org owns this text.
"Hey Trevor, how long are you going to stay here?" Did he not realize that it was pretty late already?
"I'm not leaving tonight!" Trevor was certain that Anthony would come over if he left Victoria alone.
"What?!" With a scream, Victoria was on the verge of stomping her feet.
After she said that, Trevor sensed Victoria struggling impatiently, so he brought her closer into his arms again and said, "Are you so afraid that I'll gobble you up?"
Only a fool wouldn't fear him!
"Let me go!" Did she accidentally lure a wolf into her home? Victoria was troubled.
Victoria was like a kitten, nudging him in his arms. Trevor replied with a delighted tone, "I promise not to touch you."
"Men can't be trusted that easily, they're as crooked as a dog's hind leg!" She was so sure about that ever since Trevor and Anthony appeared in her life.
Trevor hugged her and smiled. "Why don't you call your mother or mine for reassurance?"
As he said that, Trevor took out his mobile phone from his pocket and handed it to her. Victoria refused his offer immediately and pushed the phone back to him. "You can keep it! But you're sleeping in the guest room tonight!"
"I'll sleep on the sofa." Trevor said while he shook his phone with a smile across his face. He wasn't going to lose sight of her for the night.
They stared at each other bitterly and Victoria had no choice but to compromise. "Fine!"
If Trevor had made the phone call to
either his mother or hers, it was
el
most certain that Victoria's mother would've eventually figured it out. Her mother had always wished that е they would be together. If she discovered that they had spent the night together, her mother would probably seal the deal regardless of the situation.
Not only did Victoria not want to be with Trevor, but she also didn't want her family to know about this! Although Trevor slept on the sofa for the night, the two of them were still no doubt together in the same room.
Meanwhile, Anthony was still waiting downstairs with the bouquet of roses in his hands. He stood waiting as he stared at the lights from Victoria's room that gradually faded into darkness. He made up his mind to remain at Green Lux Garden for the night. He got into his car, and slowly dozed off...
...
A couple of days passed by, and soon it was the weekend again.
On that day, Jeremy was feeling very depressed. He put down a handful of white chrysanthemums in front of the memoria/arches' table in the cemetery. He gazed at the picture of a beautiful girl with a warm smile for a long time before he shifted his this attention to the other side. It was another similarly carved memorial tablet. It had neither a name nor a photo, but it was painted with pear blossoms. After examining it carefully, the pear blossoms seemed to outline one side of a beautiful
face looking up into the sky. He stared at it for a long time before he bowed deeply.
"Yannie, Ally..."
The two most important women in his life were gone!
An immense sense of regret materialized in his heart as he closed his eyes. If Jeremy hadn't been adamant, if he had come to his senses earlier... would he have felt this pang of remorse then? It wasn't something he was able to make up for!
Unfortunately, he lost his loved ones completely. Even looking at them from afar had become an unachievable wish for him.
Tears rolled down his cheeks as he turned around, a veil of loneliness and desolation had engulfed Jeremy's entire body. At that moment, he decided that he wasn't going to regret anymore.
He started his car and drove towards the suburbs. Lost in his own thoughts, Jeremy wasn't aware of a taxi that had been tailing him from behind.
He bought some snacks, daily necessities, and a toy from the supermarket before he headed to the
sanatorium.
"Mr. Andrews, this way please! Madam York's condition is stable. She would call out your name from time to time when she's awake..."
"Thank you."
"Then I'll give you two some space. Call me if you ever need my assistance!"
As he walked into the empty room,
Jeremy diverted his attention towards the middle-aged woman who was sitting on the ground in corner. She was combing a doll's hair white her own hair was a little disheveled. There was sorrow in his eyes in that instant. He put down the
snacks, but did not approach her rashly. Instead, he leaned against the wall near the door and squatted down slowly.
"Mom, I am here to see you today. I brought you some delicious snacks! It's your favorite, tomato-flavored potato chips..."
He wasn't certain if he was disturbing her or she had noticed his presence at all. The woman merely glanced at him and said with a confused look, "Mom? Potato chips...? Yannie, I bought some of your favorite potato chips. I'll go get it for you."
