Chapter 79 Sleeping with a Pervert

Ten minutes later, the sound of water ceased. Blanche surmised that Louis must have finished his shower.

Enveloped in her blanket, Blanche remained motionless, feigning sleep.

But she was unsuccessful in her attempt to avoid the issue. Louis approached the bedside in a few strides, yanking off the blanket that obscured her face. Instinctively, Blanche reached out to reclaim it, but it was taken away by Louis.

"What are you doing? I'm going to catch a cold," Blanche retorted first.

Louis smiled. "Bold enough to spy on a man bathing, yet shy when caught?"

Blanche's heart skipped a beat. She hurriedly avoided Louis' gaze and almost blurted out nonsensical words out of anxiety.

"No way. When did I spy on you? Are you having eye issues? I was sleeping soundly all along. Look, you have ruined my beautiful dream."

Louis raised an eyebrow. This woman had the audacity not only to deny her deeds but also to fib shamelessly.

Blanche hastily covered her tracks. "And besides, your figure isn't even attractive. I've seen many handsome men with top-notch figures, their bodies smooth and sturdy, sporting a wheatish complexion."

"You've seen quite a few men?"

"Of course, I've seen and even touched them. They feel so smooth, and the sensation is particularly good," Blanche rattled on brazenly.

Yet to her despair, she found that the figure emerging in her mind while she was bragging was none other than the enticing back of Louis.

Speaking further, she couldn't control her blushing cheeks.

"Weren't you just saying that you were chaste, and now you've seen countless men? Does your face hurt from the lies, Blanche?"

Louis couldn't understand the source of his rage. With a flick of his wrist, he flung the piece of bed sheet in his hand towards Blanche's face. What a shameless woman, not worth a single strand of his hair. She didn't deserve his anger at all.

Covered by the sudden attack, Blanche yanked off the sheet, gasping for air.

With a click, the light in the room was turned off by Louis. Blanche pursed her lips, disgruntled.

Silence enveloped the room.

With apprehension, Blanche half-closed her eyes, her heart tangled and uncomfortable. She wondered if those bastards would come or not.

After an hour of waiting like a cat on hot bricks, there was finally some movement by the window.

In the faint light from outside, two agile figures climbed in. The person in the lead, wielding a sharp dagger, lunged toward Blanche, who was in the center of the bed.

Blanche rolled off the bed in a flash, hitting the ground with a thud. Her bones felt like they were about to disintegrate. The assailant was swiftly yanked back by a potent force.

Subsequently, the room was filled with intense commotion. Blanche could feel the gust of wind beside her ears as she crawled and rolled toward the corner of the room.

Luckily, after two pitiful screams, the room lit up again. Blanche lifted her hand, shielding her eyes, praying that it wasn't the villains who turned on the light.

She peeked through her fingers, seeing Louis stepping on one man's hand and gripping another man's neck, exuding a cold, formidable aura.

Louis glanced at Blanche, who had risen from the corner, and added pressure to the hand beneath his foot.

"Were you sent by Wilburn?"

The man sprawled below, lifting his head a little, quickly turned pale and attempted to bite his own tongue to seek death.

Louis immediately stepped on the man's neck, causing him to give up on his self-harming act.

Louis made a phone call to Sam, who rushed over.

Handing over the two men to Sam, Louis ordered coldly, "Give them a warm welcome. Record the process for my uncle to enjoy later."

"Yes." Sam escorted the two men away.

Blanche glanced at the residue on the floor and slapped her forehead, deciding to clean up in the morning as she was already on the verge of dozing off.

Louis kicked the debris on the floor and looked up, seeing Blanche moving towards the window. She tiptoed to pull the window shut, ensuring it was closed tightly.

After pulling hard to ensure the window wouldn't open again, she finally pulled down the curtain and returned.

"Finally, I can sleep. Don't forget to turn off the light when you go out and close the door properly," Blanche glanced at the standing Louis before climbing back into bed, closing her eyes.

She couldn't keep her eyes open any longer. After spending the whole afternoon picking oranges, both her hands and legs were sore.

Was she asleep?

Louis approached the bed, only to find Blanche licking her lips, having evidently entered the realm of sweet dreams.

That gesture of Blanche licking her lips? The pink tip of her tongue gently swept across her soft lips, the ivory glow of her face... Louis furrowed his brows as an unexpected tension gripped his body.

Swallowing a lump in his throat, Louis flicked off the light switch and took a seat on the couch, lighting a cigarette.

From the bed came shallow breaths, soft and fluffy, inexplicably soothing to Louis. After confirming that Blanche was sound asleep, a ludicrous thought formed in Louis's mind.

After another cigarette, he extinguished the stub, disrobed, and quietly lifted half the blanket.

The next day, Blanche was the last to rise, stubbornly clinging to her bed.

When she sat up to massage her head and prepare to tidy the bed, she was shocked to find a dent on the other side of the bed - a clear indication that someone had lain there.

Blanche shivered. She looked again and found the window was open.

She had clearly shut it tightly last night. And the pillow next to her, which she remembered propping up, now lay flat.

Blanche slapped her own face. Had someone been lying next to her all night?

Had Louis not left last night? No, he despised her to the core and would absolutely not share a bed with her. It couldn't have been him.

It must have been an intruder again.

This is bad, very bad. Blanche's heart pounded like a drum as she quickly inspected her body. Fortunately, she found no signs of violation, which gave her some relief. Belongs to (N)ôvel/Drama.Org.

But the other side of the bed was indeed slept on. She must have shared a bed with a pervert last night. Judging by the indentation, long and wide, it couldn't have been a woman.

Could it be that the pervert was impotent, which is why she was not violated? But the mere fact that she had slept with a strange man was enough to make her explode.

Blanche felt incredibly frustrated. She clenched her fists angrily. Who was that jerk? She was determined to find him and exact her fierce vengeance upon him.

...

In the heart of the mountain villa was the Lakeside Restaurant, where Louis and his companions were having breakfast.

As Louis looked up, he saw Blanche. With her hair casually tied up in a bun, shuffling over to eat. She looked troubled and listless, as though her soul had been drained.

Blanche was now incredibly vexed. She felt uncomfortable all over as if a caterpillar had crawled over her. Whether that jerk was fat, ugly, old or young, she was utterly annoyed. Grinding her teeth, she wished she could kill that jerk right now.
