Chapter 713
After a while, the police left.
Sebastian immediately entered the ward. "Rose, are you alright?"
The police's return to ask her more questions was akin to making her relive the suffering she endured previously.
Rosalie sat on the bed, gripping the sheets tightly. "I'm fine. Don't worry."
Sebastian sat on the bed, hugging her gently and pulling her into his arms. "I'm here. No matter what happens, I'll protect you. I'll never let you go through that again."
His dark gaze landed on Yerick.
Yerick walked over, and sat on the chair by the bedside.
"Rose, the police will surely find the bastard who kidnapped you. I feel so bad for you, Rose. You always encounter the most unfortunate incidents. Heaven is way too unkind to you."
Tears started falling from Yerick's eyes.
Rosalie immediately sat up, and pulled away from Sebastian's embrace. "Yerry, don't cry. I'm fine. I look perfectly fine right now, don't I?"
"Rose, you must have been so frightened."
Sebastian's brows were tightly knitted. This rascal could cry at whim, as if his heart genuinely ached for Rosalie.
Would normal people behave like this?
Rosalie grabbed a napkin, and wiped his tears away. "Yerry, I'm fine. It's all over now. Don't cry. You're making me anxious like this."
"Alright, Rose. I won't cry." Yerick suppressed his tears, and flashed her a weak smile.
Seeing Yerick's smile made Rosalie relax. "That's the way. It's always better to smile more."
Yerick's gaze landed on Sebastian, and he flashed the latter a bright smile that felt like a ray of sunshine.
All Sebastian wanted to do, however, was to tear his face into shreds.
The three of them started having dinner.
Rosalie chatted enthusiastically with Yerick. They had much to talk about, and clicked very well with each other.
They ignored Sebastian completely; he remained silent, listening to what they had to say.
There were a few times he wanted to cut in and draw Rosalie's attention to him, but his efforts were all thwarted by that rascal Yerick.
Yerick was honey-tongued, and knew many things. He seemed able to always say something to make Rosalie happy.
Sebastian felt a tinge of bitterness in his heart, and he hated that feeling.
He hated the feeling of being outsmarted.
He wanted to pull Yerick out of the room by the collar and give him a good beating.
He seldom saw Rosalie so happy. It seemed as though she hadn't laughed so heartily ever since he got to know her. She always looked also melancholic, with so much on her mind.
He cared for her and took care of her, but he had never seen her smile so happily.
What did this bastard Yerick have?
He hadn't done anything for Rosalie, but was able to make Rosalie so happy with just a few sweet words. NôvelDrama.Org © content.
It was so unfair.
Fire burned in Sebastian's chest as he sat there eating his dinner in silence.
He had to be patient, even more so than anyone else. The most patient people often secured victory at the very end.
"Rose, eat more."
Yerick kept serving Rosalie food.
Rosalie said with a smile, “Yerry, I can't eat too much. I'm going for an operation tomorrow. You should eat more.”
"Yes, yes. You still have an operation

Yerick took back all the food he placed in Rosalie's bowl and stuffed them into his mouth like a hamster.
He ate fast and a lot at once, but he looked adorable as he ate. His bright, doe-eyed appearance belonged to an innocent angel.
