Tobias and Gavin were the only ones left in the private room. Gavin was reaching out for the leftover

chicken from Skylar's plate when Tobias stopped him.

“Order some new dishes. These are leftovers.”

Gavin grinned. “It's okay. I don't mind.”

Tobias rang for the waiter. “You're disgusting.”

He couldn't bear the sight of someone else eating Skylar's leftovers and using her chopsticks, which

were stained by lipstick.

Gavin realized Tobias was being possessive of Skylar because he wouldn't let him eat her leftovers.

Then, Tobias lit a cigarette.

Gavin coughed when the smoke reached him. Frowning, he asked, “I heard that Laurel is now an

assistant to a celebrity. Is she that desperate for money? She would never take up a job like that in the

past.”

Tobias smiled faintly. “If I know what's going on with women and their minds, I won't be arguing with her

all the time. How do you suppose I know the answer to your question?”

Gavin gaped. He was surprised that a woman was bold enough to throw a tantrum at Tobias and the

fact that Tobias allowed it.

Gavin continued to complain about how his mother forced him to marry. She was so overbearing that

he even considered cutting ties with her.

Tobias wasn't surprised because he had already grown used to Claudia's similar methods.

Every now and then, she would fake a heart attack and ask Tobias to get married as soon as he can.

However, she changed her mind about his marriage and started asking him to give her a grandchild

instead.

Gavin placed a cigarette between his lips as he continued, “My mother was playing cards with your

mother yesterday. I heard that your mother is insistent on having a grandchild by next year. Is that

true?”

Tobias leaned backward on the couch. “Where am I supposed to find a woman and have a child with

her? I can't simply grab anyone and force myself onto her.”

Gavin tipped his chin at the door. “The woman who just left looks good enough for the job. In that case,

your child must be very good-looking.”

Tobias hesitated for a while before replying, “She's still young. It won't be fair to her if I ask her to give

birth a child for my sake.”

“You need to save yourself first, Tobias. Back in the day, isn't it normal for women to become mothers

at an early age? It's not like their lives were destroyed.” Gavin thought that Tobias was worrying too

much. In his opinion, he should get the girl pregnant first to satisfy his mother's wishes.

Tobias said nothing. He didn't want another disturbance in his life. Furthermore, he couldn't spend
