Chapter 2292
Chapter 2292
Old Mr. Jarvis had just finished wrapping two pieces of candy when the phone rang. Estelle picked up the smartphone; it was a video call from Old Mr. Quintin.
Wiping flour off his hands, Old Mr. Jarvis chuckled, "I'll leave the rest to you. Time for a chat with Old Mr. Quintin."
"Don't worry, sir. I'll wrap them up," Mr. Justin said with a grin.
With Old Mr. Jarvis stepping outside for the call, excitement buzzed in the air among the others.
“Let's give it a go!" Estelle suggested.
Sylvia was eager, "Sure, but I'll need a crash course!"
Estelle admitted, “Me too, but it looks easy enough.”
Jonathan chimed in with a smile, "Let's dive in! Mr. Justin can handle rolling out the dough. We'll do the stuffing."
The group washed their hands and gathered around the table, ready to make ravioli.
Mr. Justin rolled the dough while the others took turns stuffing. Jonathan and Gabriel took on the task of wrapping the coin-filled ravioli and tofu ravioli.
Soon, the tray was filled with various ravioli, each unique in shape.
What seemed easy at first proved to be quite the challenge.
No one dared to laugh at each other's attempts because, frankly, none looked better than the other.
"This isn't too bad," Jonathan commented lightly. "We can each identify our own creations. Let's eat the ones we wrap."
Estelle, trying to hold back a laugh, showed Jonathan her ravioli. "It's not sealed well. Will it spill out when boiled?"
Sylvia had an epiphany, "So that's where the phrase 'letting the cat out of the bag' comes from!"
Laughter filled the room.
Jonathan took Estelle's hand, gently removing some of the filling and pinching the ravioli shut, "Don't use too much flour. This way, it won't leak."
Estelle caught on quickly, her technique improving with each attempt.
Sylvia, envious of Estelle's progress, lamented how her ravioli "lay" flat without any spirit.
“Estelle, teach me how to make them stand?" Sylvia requested.
"I'll show you," Gabriel offered.
Sylvia eyed him skeptically, "Yours don't look much better!"
For the first time, Gabriel faced skepticism, his expression darkening for a moment before he silently urged her to continue.
Sylvia, with a playful glint in her eyes, quickly added, "It's better than mine, though. Let's see!"
Gabriel positioned himself next to
Sylvia, his large hands guiding hers with patience. "You can add a bit more filling. Bend your fingers like this, creating an arc. Then, cup the ravioli in your palm, and it won't end up flat."
Kone
Lost in Gabriel's strong presence and the warmth of his arms around her, Sylvia hardly absorbed his instructions, merely nodding along as f deeply focused.
"Got it?" Gabriel asked.
Sylvia snapped back to reality, "Huh?"
He looked at her with a meaningful gaze, "Focus!"
Pretending to be composed, Sylvia responded, "I've been focused all along."Owned by NôvelDrama.Org.
"Then, make one for me to see!"
Skillfully, Sylvia wrapped a ravioli
and placed it on the tray. It stood
firm, and she looked at Gab
with
a hint of pride, "Mastered it this time!"
Gabriel's expression softened, “Well done!"
"What's my reward?" Sylvia quickly asked.
Gabriel glanced at her, a playful smirk on his lips, "You get to eat your own masterpieces!"
