Flora’s Guide to a Second Chance at Love and Life

Chapter 810

"Flora! My dad's looking better! Does that mean he's on the mend?!"

On the mend?!

The entire Reyes clan, uncles and cousins alike, lit up with joy. Could Flora actually have some real skills up her sleeve? Did he recover that quickly?

Abbey was in disbelief. Could Flora's bizarre methods actually work? She was more likely to do more harm than good!

"Adrian, is your dad really doing better?!"

They didn't give Abbey a second thought as they rushed into the room, with Abbey trailing behind. But just as they reached the door, before even stepping in, Adrian's voice rang out again. This time, it was laced with panic. "Dad! Dad! Flora, why is my dad coughing up blood?"

Coughing up blood?!

Everyone's heart skipped a beat, and Abbey quickly pushed the door open. A scene of crimson met her eyes. Karter lay on the bed in agony, eyes shut tight, coughing up blood without pause. The room was heavy with the metallic smell of blood. "Cough, cough, cough..."

Karter kept coughing, clutching his chest as if he couldn't catch his breath. The sound of his labored breathing was enough to make anyone's skin crawl.

The Reyes family stormed in, and one of the more hot-tempered uncles shouted, "Adrian, are you happy now? I told you letting this woman treat him was a mistake! Look at what she's done to our brother!" Adrian's face turned ghostly pale as he looked at Flora with panic in his eyes. "Flora..."

Flora sighed, "Don't worry, he's just..."

She was simply releasing the trapped blood. Karter had fainted from sheer stress, and now that the blockage was cleared, he'd naturally get better. They were just overreacting.

Before she could finish, someone shoved her aside. "Ms. Abbey, please check him out!"

Abbey briskly moved to Karter's side, shooting Flora a sneer as she passed. She had a feeling things would go south. Flora had been so cocky, claiming she could cure Karter, but what was the result? Nearly killed him!

Abbey wouldn't have minded if Flora had accidentally finished him off; the Reyes family would have made sure she paid dearly. But Karter was crucial to a significant drug supply chain, so he couldn't afford to have anything happen just yet. Besides, if Flora botched it and Abbey managed to save him, she'd prove her superior medical skills. With this in mind, she began examining Karter.

And then, she froze.

How could this be...

Karter was already okay. Though his energy was still a bit off, the pressure on his heart had been relieved. All he needed was some rest. Impossible!

A wave of shock hit her, and she glanced at Flora in disbelief. Did Flora really fix him? Without surgery, using some seemingly nonsensical methods?

"Ms. Abbey, what's the status?"

With Abbey not saying a word, everyone was on edge. Abbey fought to suppress her shock, tried to keep her face neutral, and said, "Karter's condition was already dire, and Flora's interference has made it even more precarious." Hearing this, everyone tensed up.This is property © of NôvelDrama.Org.

And as Abbey uttered these words, she caught Flora's half-smiling, half-mocking gaze, feeling her heart nearly leap out of her chest! But she kept her composure and said, "I need to conduct a full examination immediately. Everyone not involved, please step out!"
