Heartstrings on Fire (Agnes and Jared)

Chapter 785

Chapter 785

Agnes looked calm and replied, "The four nominees this time are all great actresses, so it wouldn't be

surprising no matter who wins Best Actress. Instead of guessing, it would be better to prepare the

interview for each nominee."

Even though the Best Actress winner was still uncertain, Agnes would prepare four different interview

scripts. Anyone who won, she'd be prepared to handle.

But this time, Yolanda didn't want Agnes to prepare the interview scripts. She just said that once the

results were out, and the interviewee was confirmed, she would give her the script.

Soon, they arrived at the venue.

The film festival was held at the grand Opera House.

The long red carpet outside stretched as far as the eye could see. The red carpet was full of glowing

celebrities, competing in their radiant beauty.

A security barrier kept the press outside the red carpet.

An insane number of flashbulbs went off, with virtually every domestic media outlet present. Both sides

of the red carpet were filled with people. However, most reporters were not allowed to enter. They could

only take pictures from outside, vying to capture every moment despite the crowd.

Agnes was specially invited to this film festival. With a special press pass, she could enter the venue

and watch the award ceremony.

Agnes broadcasted live from outside the red carpet.

And then it was time to enter the venue. The entire TV station only had two special press passes.

Among the reporters present, only Agnes and Yolanda could go in.

Reporters didn't enter through the main entrance of the red carpet.

There was a side door next to the Opera House for guests and reporters.

Guests had invitations, and reporters would show their press passes, but Agnes had not expected that

her special press pass would go missing.

She remembered that her press pass was in a zipped compartment of her purse, so it was impossible

for her to lose it.

There was only one possibility - someone had gone through her purse. She never left her purse

unattended, except for when she was doing live interviews, when she left it in the car.

Agnes frowned. She was not willing to suspect anyone without evidence, but Yolanda had been up to

too many tricks lately.

Agnes turned around to find Yolanda who was already at the entrance.

Agnes approached her. "Director, did you take my press pass?" Property © NôvelDrama.Org.

Yolanda said arrogantly, "Agnes, you need evidence to make accusations. If you lost your special press

pass, how could you blame me?"

Agnes frowned. "Yolanda, if it were some trifling matter, I would let it go. But this issue relates to the

interests of the TV station. You'd better return my press pass, or else..."

"Or else what? Call the boss or Mr. Judson?" Yolanda scoffed, "Agnes, don't think too highly of

yourself. Mr. Judson might value you, but the person who calls the shots at this TV station is my father-

in-law. Sooner or later, his position will be mine. Once I'm in that position, there will be no place for you.

So, Agnes, I recommend you know your place and leave voluntarily, to save yourself the

embarrassment of being kicked out." After saying this, Yolanda took out her press pass and went into

the opera house.

Once inside, she took out another pass and waved it at Agnes from a distance. Agnes recognized it

instantly. The press pass in Yolanda's hand was her own.
