Chapter 263 The Present From Great Grandfather (Part One)

Jackson and Derek then drove to the JS Group, and after they arrived, they got out of the car and

walked directly to Selina's office inside the JS building.

While Selina was working, she heard the door of the elevator open and raised her head to see who it

was. She was surprised to see Jackson and Derek's angry expressions, and she immediately stood up

to greet them, "Hi, Jackson, Derek."

Jackson was too irate to even glimpse at Selina, and instead walked straight into her office and sat

down on the sofa.

Derek also stared angrily at Selina, and also sat down on the sofa without saying a word.

Their behavior upset Selina, and she thought, 'What's wrong with them? Why are they so angry?'

Selina walked towards Derek and sat beside him. She asked, "What's the matter? Derek, you two

seem unhappy."

Derek looked at Jackson and saw that he was looking outside of the window; he still didn't want to talk

to Selina.

Derek furiously stared at his sister, and said, "When Jackson and I handed the JS Group over to you,

we told you that you had to discuss with us if anything urgent ever appeared. Do you remember that?

Do you think that you're powerful enough to handle everything all by yourself?"

Selina was puzzled by his words, and answered, "No, I don't. You two know all the things that happen

in the JS Group, don't you? By the way, nothing urgent happened in the JS Group. What do you want

me to tell you?" Selina thought, 'What's wrong with them? Have they gone mad?'

Derek glared at Selina, and said, "Isn't the rise of the ZM Group a big deal?"

Selina was too surprised to answer Derek's question. Although she agreed with him that the rise of the

Group? The ZM Group and the JS Group were like strangers to each other, because the two groups

had no business interactions with one another. How did the rise of the ZM Group ever influences the JS

Group?

Selina calmed herself down, and replied to Derek's question, "Indeed, a company called the ZM Group

has recently developed very fast, but I don't think it has something to do with our JS Group, because

the two companies have no business partnerships. By the way, ZM's CEO Mond Xu is a complete

stranger to all of us, so I didn't feel the need to tell you about the company."

Derek shouted at Selina, "How can you be so careless? He's not a stranger! He plans to attack the JS

Group! He knows that Jackson is the real owner!" Derek was a bit disappointed with Selina, because

although she had been very prudent with the JS Group's affairs, she had ignored their most dangerous

enemy all along.

Selina was stunned by what Derek said and turned to look at Jackson, but she could only see his side

face, which was obviously tensed with anger. Selina thought, 'Did I do anything wrong?'

Selina was completely confused, and asked, "I don't know Mond at all, why...why does he want to

attack JS?" Why would a stranger attack the JS Group? Selina had tried to investigate into Mond, but

regardless of the great efforts that she made, she had found nothing on him.

Derek started to say, "My dear stupid sister, Mond is..." But Jackson quickly stopped him before he

nearly spoiled the secret.

Jackson shouted furiously, "Derek!"

When he heard Jackson's shout, he immediately stopped talking.

Jackson calmed himself but still didn't look at Selina. He said, "Selina, go downstairs and ask Cherry to

join us."

Selina heard Jackson's words, and gently answered, "Okay." She then stood up from her seat and

walked out of her office.

After they saw Selina in the elevator, Jackson said to Derek, "Don't blame Selina, she has no idea

about our past scores. It's no wonder that she made some mistakes."

Derek was still angry, but he lowered his head and fell silent.

Jackson continued, "We'd better keep Mond's existence a secret from Cherry and Selina. It's best for

them if they don't know about our past, and if they learned what happened..." Jackson paused for a

second, and continued, "I'm afraid that Cherry might investigate what we kept hidden away all along."

Derek nodded, and he knew that Jackson was protecting Cherry, as he always did. Jackson was afraid

that things would become more complex if Cherry knew too much; after all, she had finally given up on

her inquiries into Sally, and Jackson hoped that she could forget all about her, as well as the other

things that related to his past.

Selina went downstairs and walked directly into Cherry's office without even knocking on the door.

After Cherry raised her head, she saw that Selina's expression was mixed with anger and sadness.

She immediately stood up from her desk, and asked, "Selina, what's wrong?"

"Come to my office. The two big shots came with anger radiating all around them. Jackson wants to

see you."

Cherry knew that the "two big shots" Selina referred to were Jackson and Derek, because no one other

than them were eligible to go into Selina's office without a special appointment. Besides, Cherry had

already received a call from Jackson, and he had already notified her that he would come to the JS

Group to see her.

"Let's go and see what seems to be the problem, " said Cherry. She then held Selina's arm and walked

out of her office with her.

Inside the elevator, Selina asked, "Derek said that the ZM Group is aimed at attacking our JS Group,

but we don't even know who that Mond is. Why does ZM's CEO want to attack us?"

Cherry was also confused after she heard Selina. Mond was mysterious, and Cherry also didn't know

too much about the ZM Group, so she couldn't figure out the reason either.

Cherry guessed from Selina's angry expression that she was scolded by Jackson and Derek, otherwise

Selina, as an outgoing and positive person, wouldn't have been so angry. Cherry comforted Selina,

"You are more capable than I am; if you have no idea about the ZM Group, what should I know about

it? It's a mystery that we can't investigate."

The lift arrived and Cherry and Selina walked out of it and went straight into Selina's office.

Cherry saw Jackson and Derek sitting on the sofa. She nodded to Derek greeting him, and then she

sat beside Jackson.

Cherry noticed that Jackson was very serious and put her head on Jackson's shoulder. She asked,

"What's the matter? What made you morose?"
