Love is the Sunshine

Chapter 575 Sorry, I Hit The Wrong Target (Part One)

Chapter 575 Sorry, I Hit The Wrong Target (Part One)

"Violet, I think you're seriously underestimating me. Finding out things like that is just a walk in the park

for me.

Even if you were so careful about it that you didn't even tell your relatives that you didn't have an

abortion, I'll still have my ways to find out about it. After all, you have been bringing the baby along with

you everywhere you went in the past couple of years, so it shouldn't be that hard for me to put the

pieces together and realize that you didn't get an abortion and kept our baby!" William exclaimed.

Of course, there was no way William could ever tell her that it was Carla who told him about this news

by accident. Noticing the flustered look on her face, he held Violet's hand and assured her, "Don't

worry. I'm not going to take the child away from you.

My parents hadn't found out about it as well. So, there's no need for you to worry about anything."

Truth be told, in his eyes, although the baby wasn't really the vital factor, the baby's existence indeed

strengthened his resolve to keep patiently waiting for her to come back into his arms.

"Okay, I'm glad that you're sensible enough to think this way. Cody is my child. Don't go having any

weird ideas about stealing him from me! If you dare to think about it, I swear I'm going to hate you for a

lifetime."

Violet gave him a fair warning.

Since she was the one who gave birth to Cody, not to mention the fact that the child was a boy, she

couldn't dare let the Qi family find out about him.

She knew William's parents quite well. Because of that, she was scared that his parents would arrange

for people to find a way to get their grandchildren back at all costs.

"Violet, why can't you just learn from Carla's actions? As soon as she came back with her child, she

immediately went back to look for Terence—the child's father." Holding onto Violet's hand, William tried

to stop her from running away. Then, he went ahead and added, "Cody is also my child, just as much

as he is yours! Why don't you just come to me?"

"No, our relationship is much too different from theirs. Carla had gone missing after getting into an

accident. It's not like she had an argument with Mr. Terence before she disappeared like we did. For

that reason, she would most certainly go back to see him the moment she got back. But, as for you and

I..."

Violet said, choking on her words.

When the thought of all the cruel things William had done to her all because of that woman's fake

pregnancy came rushing through her head, she just couldn't find it in herself to forgive him at all.

"Violet, I understand that after all of the horrible things I've done to you, you won't be able to forgive

me. But could you just please give me a chance to try to make it up to you? I know just how hard it is

for you to be raising our son on your own. As a father, it's my responsibility to take care of the two of

you and keep you safe!"

William was now already forty years old. And since he wasn't getting any younger, he became much

too tired of worrying about things like love. At this point in his life, all he really wanted was to have a

place he could call his home—a harbor which belonged to him. This content is © NôvelDrama.Org.

Even though the option to get married and start a family of his own with another woman had always

been there, Violet had always been in his heart, so he had never shown any interest on other women

ever since she left.

For that reason, he reached the conclusion that only she could give him a place to call home and

become his harbor.

"We don't need you to protect us!" Violet angrily exclaimed, sounding so resolute.

Upon telling him that, she stood up and patted her behind, planning to walk away from him.

However, after she had taken just a couple of steps, she heard a loud bang coming from her own body.

And when she looked up, she saw a wisp of green smoke rising from her hat.

From out of nowhere, Theo appeared in front of them, shaking his gun and feeling so full of himself.

With a wide grin on his face, he told them, "Hi! If you want to have a little chat, why don't you go down

from there and talk more in private?

I heard that there are fruits and melon seeds in the rest area, much better compared to this place!

Besides, if you continue your chat in here, you'll surely get bitten by mosquitoes! What do you think?

I'm such a considerate person, ain't I?"

Everything happened so fast, so Violet couldn't do anything but stomp her feet in anger. She never

would've expected that she'd be taken out of the game so soon. Most importantly, she hadn't even

used her own gun yet!

Seeing her in a fit of rage, William also came over and yelled at Theo, "Hey! Give me a shot as well! I'm

going to keep her company!"

"Sure! My pleasure! I'll send the two of you down!" Theo proudly replied.

Then, he immediately raised his gun and aimed it at William.

But as soon as he took the shot, he realized that he hit the wrong target.

A wisp of green smoke arose from Violet's hat once more. She looked so pissed off as she glared at

Theo and yelled, "Mr. Theo, I'm already 'dead'. Why did you shoot me a second time!? Were you afraid

that I might come back alive again?"

"Sorry about that! I'm really sorry. I just made a mistake!" Theo hurled back.

Repositioning himself a bit, he aimed at William one more time.

This time, William made Violet stand behind him to ensure that he was the one who would get shot.

It should go without saying that if Theo were to miss William a second time, he would be the one who

felt ashamed the most.

Fortunately for him, the result didn't end up being so bad. Theo successfully made the shot and William

was eliminated from the game, just as he expected.
