Please Let Me Go

Chapter 5 I Don’t Need Anyone to Teach Me How to Do It

Chapter 5 I Don’t Need Anyone to Teach Me How to Do It

Of course, she knew whom did the baby in Adelaide’s belly belong to. This bitch, she didn’t expect that

Adelaide was pregnant sooner than her. She couldn’t let her give birth to this baby.

On the other side, Antonio dragged Adelaide to the door of the laboratory and shoved her to two

doctors standing at the door.

“Drag her in and take her blood sample!”

As she watched a huge needle penetrate her skin and blood started to gush into the syringe, Adelaide

finally couldn’t hold on to her sanity anymore as she fainted after her vision was overcome by

darkness.

She had a terrible nightmare while she lost her consciousness. In her dream, a small child was crying

for his mother and imploring for his mother to save him. However, she could only watch the child

getting dragged away from her and the distance between them kept increasing. Even though she had

screamed with all her might, nothing could change her fate.

When she was consumed by her deepest fears, all of a sudden, she woke up without any warning.

There was nothing white surrounding her, and there was no smell of antiseptics at all. It turned out that

she had been moved to her bedroom while she was still unconscious.

She hurriedly checked her arms and her belly first things first. When she realized that her belly was

unaffected and looked as the same as before, she finally heaved a huge sigh of relief.

However, how did she get back here? How could it be possible that Antonio had decided to let her go?

At that moment, a huge crashing sound broke the silence, and Adelaide looked up to see Damla, the

maid right in front of her eyes.

Damla impatiently hurled the plates and cutleries in her hands towards Adelaide while complaining,

“You’re really useless for passing out while the doctor is just taking your blood sample. I can’t believe

that you can still lie here safe and soundly while bearing other people’s child as you let the young

master’s actual child face danger!” © NôvelDrama.Org - All rights reserved.

She ended her complaints and immediately went out of the room without even paying any attention to

Adelaide’s weakened state. She couldn’t even muster enough energy to feed herself food.

It turned out that she had fainted while her blood sample was being taken…

Adelaide continued to widen her eyes in astonishment as she watched Damla disappear from her field

of vision.

Damla was the nanny who was responsible of taking care of Antonio from the days he was still a child,

and she was very respected in the family. In the end, she was no different from the other elders in the

family. They just wanted to see Antonio’s descendant being born healthily.

However, for some reason, she seemed to never take a liking to Adelaide. In contrast, she was very

fond of Clarissa, as evident by her display of passion and enthusiasm every time Clarissa visited her. It

was as if she wished that Clarissa was the young lady instead of Adelaide.

Adelaide’s expression darkened as she thought about how Damla had been treating her. With the way

things were, it seemed like she would ultimately lose her footing in this family. Suddenly, as if a thought

had struck her, she anxiously rummaged around her room, as if she was searching for something…

She picked up her mobile phone and sent a message to someone. Only by doing that, she felt a little

more reassured. She stared at the screen of her mobile phone, unable to snap out of her reverie.

Just as Adelaide was staring at her phone, Clarissa was clutching Antonio’s sleeves in the hospital.

“Antonio, just let me die. If you insist to let Adelaide transfuse blood for me, it is very likely that Adelaide

would lose her life…”

Her demeanour made people feel sympathetic towards her. Coupled with her seemingly kind and big

words, whoever had listened to her saying that would definitely shed tears.

The doctor who intently listened to her let out a sigh, “Alas, Ms. Clarissa, you are way too kind.

Actually, blood transfusion won’t kill anyone. Your sister will be fine. There is just one thing that needs

attention, that is she has to get rid of the baby in her belly, otherwise her life would be in danger.

Alas…”

Before anybody could say anything, Clarissa’s mother, Flora, couldn’t take it anymore as she

clambered forward and grabbed Antonio by his arm.

“Antonio, you must save Clarissa’s life. She is still young and she is too kind to deserve this fate.

Furthermore, it’s your child she is bearing, unlike that woman…”

Her lips trembled slightly, and a fierce look appeared in her eyes, “Antonio, it’s not that I’m a heartless

woman. That child does not belong to you, so you should just get rid of him. If he lives, it will become

the root of all troubles in the future!”

Antonio was seated by Clarissa’s bed, and her expression was very grave. Nobody could be sure that

he had actually captured what everyone was saying, but at Flora’s last sentence, his fists became

clenched unknowingly.

“Antonio, do you hear me? With your status in society, you would become a laughing stock if you keep

another man’s children in your family…”

Seeing that he was still unresponsive, Flora couldn’t help but nudge him slightly.

“I understand what you are trying to say!”

As if he was getting more and more irritated by her, Antonio suddenly stood up and eyed her

disdainfully. For some reason, he felt a strange sensation while looking at Flora.

Flora wasn’t sure if she had offended him based on his expression. She froze with her arm hanging in

mid-air.

“Antonio, I—I’m just giving you this piece of advice for your own good. I am just trying to make sure

your lineage lives on…”

“Enough. I don’t need anyone to teach me how to do this.”

It seemed like she still wanted to say something, but Antonio was going to hear any of that. He turned

around and marched towards the exit of the room.

“Mum, why did you spout so much nonsense? Antonio is really enraged now…”

When he was finally gone, Clarissa instructed her mother to close the door of the ward before lightly

tugging at her sleeve and lodged her complaint.

Flora didn’t look sorry at all.

“Clarissa, you don’t know my real intentions. If I don’t play the role of the bad person here, who would

reprise my role? I just want to provoke him with some cruel words so that he would be enraged. Just

wait and see, soon Adelaide’s baby will be no more!”
