Sold To The Mafia Lord

Little Fierce Pumpkin

Amelia came out of the bathroom and walked towards Alexander.

That day was a Friday and they were supposed to be at the office but Alexander doesn’t seem to be going that day.

She had observed that Alexander sometimes takes leaves on Fridays.

“Aren’t we going to the office today??” Amelia asked to be sure.

“And when do you suddenly love to work this hard?? We’ll be staying home today, I’ll work from home while you just relax” Alexander said as he sat on the couch opposite the bed.

Amelia walked towards their bed and sat on it, the bed was just opposite the couch.

“I wish I could relax today!” Amelia said small and Alexander raised a brow at her.

“And why is that??”

“My dad just called me that the family is going to my mother’s burial ground to burn incense and light some candles!” Amelia said and Alexander nodded.

“Do you want me to come along with you??” Alexander asked, totally ready to tag along.

“I’d prefer you don’t, I should go alone, we can go someday on our own and not with my family, “Amelia said calmly as she looked at her fingers and Alexander noticed something was off about her.

“You don’t seem to want to go!” He stated.

“I don’t know but I’m not having a good feeling about this journey, not that I don’t want to go visit my mom but….” Her voice trailed off.

“….. You just have a bad premonition about it”Alexander helped her complete her statement and Amelia nodded at him.

“Then that’s a problem because if you don’t go and it turns out you are just being paranoid because of what happened at your father’s house, it might make you seem like a bad daughter who is unfilial towards your mom,” Alexander said out some facts and Amelia nodded.

“But if also turns out your hunch was right….. it might be a disaster,” Alexander said calmly as he began to think.

“I don’t want to go ’cause this feeling is so disturbing!” Amelia pouted, waiting for Alexander to give her some solutions.

They were like a five and six, thinking alike and they were also both scheming and calculative, Amelia didn’t know if it was because they were a husband and wife Or because they’d lived together for a while now, Amelia was always going for the bull’s horn while Alexander kills slowly from the place it hurts the most.

“Don’t worry, I’ll have my men surround the place for you and leave the rest to me, I’ll come to pick you up, if something was to happen, run out of the mortuary as fast as you can and my car would just be few miles away”

Alexander said that but Amelia wasn’t comfortable.

“Isn’t that you still coming with me just that you won’t be coming in?? Maybe I’m just scared because of what happened the last time at the Robertson’s mansion!” Amelia said to shake off the tension she was feeling.

“That very day, you had also said you had a bad feeling about going to your parent’s house, and truly, something happened, they threw you into a cold basement, I don’t want a similar thing happening to you…. ever! So it’s better to be safe than sorry” Alexander remembered how frightened and sick Amelia was those days and it pricked his heartstrings.

“I don’t think it will be as bad as an ambush or killing me in The mortuary!” Amelia said and Alexander shook his head.

“I don’t usually read the Bible but I know about the story of Joseph who was sold by his brothers, anything can happen and I don’t wanna take any risk,” Alexander said and Amelia suddenly chuckled.

“I never knew Mafia also know Bible!” Amelia laughed at Alexander.Text © 2024 NôvelDrama.Org.

“The devil itself knows the bible, what am I??, I know some parts, wanna test me and hear the stories I know about??” Alexander said with pride and Amelia laughed even more.

Alexander watched her laugh and he was satisfied that he could at least make her mind calm down a bit.

“But then again, I urge you to go, trust me Okay??” Alexander was suspecting some foul plays, as much as he wanted to know about it, he also wouldn’t intentionally put Amelia in danger.

Amelia nodded at him “I trust you, Alexander”

Alexander smiled “And that’s what matters! I’ll go make preparations now, you get ready and come downstairs to have some delicacies made by this fine man here!” Alexander laughed and walked towards the door to leave.

“Narcissistic!” Amelia said with a small smile as she got up to go take a shower.

“I heard that yunno ??” Alexander said as he made his way out and closed the door.

Amelia entered the bathroom to take a shower.

Meanwhile, at the next compound close by, Ash was pacing around the room with her phone in hand.

“Knight it’s now!” Ash said and Knight’s snort came from the other side, it was so loud.

“What you’re plotting today is a total waste but I’m only agreeing to that because that’s just what I want to do”

“I don’t understand, are you planning something else?? You promised to back up the Green-level assassins for this moment!!” Ash was so red, she didn’t want to believe that she had just been a pawn to Knight.

“Yes my men will, and I’ll also go along with the arrangements but the only thing I want to let you know is that this is not the main deal, I’ve got a lot of things planned up and well seasoned for that matter” Knight chuckled as he placed both legs on his table in a leisure manner with a glass of wine in one hand.

Ash hummed and ended the call.

Knight Cyrus knew what he was aiming at and telling a mere woman with Virginia was a total waste.

Coupled with the fact that Ash wasn’t even As half-smart as Amelia.

At the thought of Amelia, Knight’s upper lips tinted up.

“I think it’s been a while though, that little fierce pumpkin” Knight smiled as he remembered the multiple times, Amelia always threatened him even if there were hints of fear lurking around her eyes she still said all the piece she wanted to say to him.

“Alexander just you wait for something big!”
