Kai’s POV

“YES, WE WOULD LOVE TO MARRY YOU, KAI GRAYSON. WE LOVE YOU SO MUCH !! SO WILL YOU MARRY US AND MAKE US THE HAPPIEST CREATURES IN THIS WORLD ?”

The banner read.

“Well ?”, my mates mindlinked me nervously, urging me to answer.

Now, the angelic side in me melted at this sweet gesture by my loving mates but the devilish one was keen on giving a payback for yesterday night’s c*ck ring punishment and for coming late to my class today, although now I knew why they were late.

So I still let the brat in me win and conjure up a fantastic plan to get back at them.

Hence, I kept a blank expression on my face and blocked my mindlink for a good ten minutes, making my mates sweat (I know, I am terrible but I can’t help it !) before looking down at my watch and loudly announcing to the class, “Three minutes left ! Hurry up and finish the quiz !!”, and then turned towards my mates.

I narrowed my eyes at them and sternly said, “As for the latecomers standing at the back, since you could not give the quiz right now, you shall be giving one during the lunch break in my room. Let it be a strict reminder for you two that I do not approve of this behaviour”, I said while swinging my finger to and fro between them.

I was sure that they would misinterpret my line, “I do not approve of this behaviour” as a refusal to their spontaneous and beautiful proposal and that is exactly what happened.

A few heads turned around to look at my mate’s ash pale faces but they kept enough of their wits to quickly hide the banner after rolling it at a vampiric pace and standing back at their respective corners with a stance that screamed disappointment, hurt, defeat and sadness.

God, they were so easy to fool. Hahahahahahaha.

They kept looking at me with sorrow filled eyes as I collected the papers and when I was done with counting the papers in my hand, I could tell that they could not take it anymore.

“Mr Grayson, please hear us out- …. “, Bella tried to approach me but I stuck out my palm towards her defiantly and shook my head, effectively stopping her in her tracks.

“Stay where you are, Ms Diaz. I have an urgent staff meeting to attend. I do not wish to be late. Be there in my room after a quick lunch. Start your tests as soon as you enter my room. I will keep them on my desk”, I instructed before quickly getting lost in the buzzing crowd of exiting students just when the bell rang.

Bella’s POV

“Are you sure Dexter did not lie ?”, a crestfallen Dominic asked with a loud sigh making Max and Tyra turn their backs and look at us with pitiful eyes.

“Snow says Dexter was sincere and too woozy to think straight to lie. She is positive that Dexter told the truth”, I replied and dropped my head to the side on Dominic’s shoulder resignedly.

Dominic engulfed me between his arms and kissed the top of my head.

“I honestly thought you would be the feistiest one out of the three of us. However, that unpredictable Beta has exceeded all my expectations by now”, Dominic huffed but his voice still held adoration and love for our mate.

“I don’t understand”, I murmured under my breath.

“Don’t understand what ?”, Dominic asked while playing with my hair.

“Why is he behaving like that ? Is he pregnant already ?”, I asked and Freya came up to us right at that moment.

“Who is pregnant ?”, she chirped.

“Your boyfriend !!”, Max teased and saved the day. “You guys got a food baby coming and did not even call us for the baby shower”, the drama queen pouted and soon enough cussed “Bitch !”, “Mutt”, “Motherfucker” and loads of “Oww”s as Conor and Freya rained notebook blows on his head.

“Asshole”, Conor rolled his eyes before plopping down in Max’s lap in a punishing, heavy thud.

“Oh fuck ! My d*ck broke”, Max croaked out, making everyone laugh.

“You break my boyfriend’s dick and I will break your neck, Conor”, Tyra jokingly warned.

Conor rolled his eyes before flipping his middle finger at her and remarked, “Shouldn’t you guys eat your lunch right now so that you have enough time in your hands to give the quiz in Mr Grayson’s room ?”, he asked and c*cked his head to the side.

“The first period just got over, food monster and you are already thinking about food ?!”, Max exclaimed in mock horror, only to get whacked at the back of his head.

“I don’t have any appetite in any case”, Dominic said to no one in particular before walking out of the classroom.

“What is wrong with him ?”, I heard Freya ask as I chased after the Vampire King.

“And her too ?”, Conor added.

“I can’t believe this ! He is actually attending a staff meeting !!”, Dominic hissed as he peered through the room’s door. “So he was not lying”, he woefully concluded as his shoulders slumped in utter dismay.

“C’mon Domz. Let us get back to class”, I urged him while tugging on his arm gently. “We will corner him during the lunch break and find out which bug is troubling his mind this time”, I suggested and Dominic nodded his head in silent agreement and let me lead him back towards the classroom.

I squeaked and turned around embarrassed, burying my head in my vampire mate’s chest while Dominic hissed, “What the fuck ?!”, when he saw Zeke bent over Kai’s table and Ryan pounding inside him like a wild beast.

“Guess they are making baby number two already”, Max chuckled behind us while Tyra passed on another inappropriate remark in return.

“You guys are not supposed to be here for the next ten minutes. So shoo away”, Ryan hissed with a glare while trying to protect his sweet smelling, pregnant mate from the perverted gazes of the other impudent people in the room while making no effort to cover himself.

One could say he was the exact definition of ‘balls deep in his mate’s ass’ right now.

“Kai is not going to be happy”, Tyra sang out the warning before shutting the door behind us and leaning against it with crossed arms before raising her brow at us.

“Oh god ! You two knuckleheads are already looking so depressed !! For fuck’s sake, you guys are already mated which is far more important than a silly event of human marriage !!”, Tyra tried to knock some sense in us.

However, the unexpected happened.

“You think marriage is silly ?”, Max asked his mate, looking as hurt as us now.

“I am seriously gonna kick all your stupid butts right now. We all are still in our teens ! Why are you so keen on marrying when you are already permanently bonded according to the supernatural laws !”, Tyra exasperately said before eyeing only Max. “And you, Mister. Don’t get so butt hurt because I said that marriage is silly. I just mean that the idea of it is silly as it solves no purpose for our kind of world. Also, if I was a pure human, I would wait for all of us to mature a bit, settle down in our jobs and duties, and then think about marriage, kids and stuff”, she explained.

“Marriage is a beautiful bond that highlights our love and vows to each other. When two people are in love then there is no better time than to get hitched to each other and lead a beautiful, fun filled family life”, Max huffed out his response before storming back to the class.

Tyra looked after his angry figure with her mouth gaping wide open before she blinked her eyes multiple times to ensure that she was not dreaming what she just saw.

“What just happened ?”, she breathed out.

“All I know is shit happened and you need to get those paralyzed legs of yours to good use before your mate throws away the ring he intended to give you after our proposal”, Dominic advised his sister, making her look at him wide eyed.

“What ?”, she squeaked out.

“You heard me. Now shoo doggy shoo”, Dominic pushed his sister towards Max’s direction before getting the bird from her.

“You can come in, give your quiz, submit back the sheets to me and go back to your class or cafeteria or wherever you want to be”, Zeke instructed as he flung the door open.

I noticed that the windows had been thrown open wide and Ryan was nowhere to be seen nor could we sense him. Looks like he went back to his department and the boys did a damn good job of covering their tracks, if you know what I mean. They did not leave a single trace of anything to implicate what they had done in Kai’s room minutes back.

Kai would certainly won’t know what happened here.

“We don’t have all day”, Zeke impatiently said while thrusting the quiz sheets in our hands.

“Where the fuck is Kai ?”, Dominic irately asked but quickly scribbled his answers in the sheet nonetheless.

Zeke shrugged and replied, “Don’t know. He just asked me to “invigilate” you guys in his room during the break.”

“That little vixen”, Dominic muttered under his breath.

“He won’t reject me again, will he ?”, I asked frightened.

“Oh good Lord, no !”, Zeke exclaimed. “Stop worrying so much. He is genuinely busy”, he quickly added.

“So you know where he is ?”, I asked with narrow slit eyes.

“Yes and I won’t tell”, he smirked before vanishing away from our sight.
