Chapter 2066 Something Happened To Sheryl

Chapter 2066 Something Happened To Sheryl

David knew that Charles was worried about Sheryl, so he wasn't in the mood to answer calls right now.

"Okay."

David answered the call. Before he could say anything, Melissa said, "David, what happened to Sher?"

David couldn't help but be moved at how concerned Melissa was about Sher. He knew that Melissa

genuinely liked Sheryl now and was very worried about her.

"Madam, don't worry. Miss Xia's fine now. But she won't let Mr. Lu take care of her, so I'm afraid I'm

going to have to ask you and Nancy to come over and look after her. Don't mention anything to her

since she doesn't know about all the things that are posted online yet," David said thoughtfully.

Melissa nodded her head and said after a pause, "Okay, okay. I know. I'll be there soon with Nancy."

After hanging up the phone, David looked at Charles.

"That's it. We will talk about it when my mom arrives," Charles said with his eyes closed.

About an hour later, Nancy and Melissa finally arrived.

"Mom!" Charles turned and called Melissa.

"What exactly happened? Why are they saying all those things online? If you won't allow me to ask

Sheryl, then tell me yourself." Melissa was so worried and distressed, and it was obvious. She just

couldn't imagine how her son must be feeling right now if all those reports were true.

Charles was having trouble dealing with Vicky right now, and Melissa knew that the only woman

Charles really loved was Sheryl. If it turned out that Sheryl had indeed moved on, then there was no

chance of them getting back together anymore.

"They've framed her, Mom. Just don't mention anything to her." Charles frowned slightly. He didn't want

to talk about it for now, so he just urged Melissa to go inside the hospital.

Upon noticing that Charles didn't seem to be in the mood to talk, Melissa decided to let it go. She then

headed inside the hospital, along with Nancy.

In the ward

Sheryl was reading through everything that was posted about her online–her heart aching.

'Damian, I trusted you so much. Why did you do that to me?' thought Sheryl.

Sheryl couldn't believe the news about her on the Internet was real.

She had tried calling Damian several times, but he wasn't answering, so she gave up.

Around that time, Isla called her.

Sheryl's eyebrows were knitted together as she answered the call, sighing, "What's up?"

"I'm the one who should be asking that. What happened between you and Damian? I thought you didn't

want to be with him. I can't believe you two spent a night together!" Isla was very excited. She thought

Sheryl and Damian were a perfect match.

"I was drugged." Sheryl knew that Isla didn't realize the seriousness of this matter, so Isla had

described this thing in such a light tone.

"What?! Who drugged you?!" Isla shouted.

Sheryl could feel Isla's rage from her voice. She didn't really want to say much, so she heaved a sigh

and said with a bitter smile, "Calm down. I don't want to talk about it over the phone. I'll tell you what

happened when you get here."

Then Sheryl hung up the phone. Isla stared at her phone for a minute before hurriedly leaving the

house to go to the hospital.

When Melissa arrived in front of the door to Sheryl's room, she took a deep breath before knocking on

the door. "Sher, can we come in?"

Sheryl frowned upon hearing Melissa's voice. She figured it was Charles who had asked Melissa to

come. She didn't really want Melissa to come in, but she was already there, so she had no choice but

to let her in.

"Come in." Sheryl had just woken up, so her voice was low.

Melissa let out a sigh of relief upon hearing this.

Melissa and Nancy entered the room and handed Sheryl the food they had cooked for her. Melissa

asked, looking worried, "Sher, how are you feeling?"

"Auntie, I'm fine. Don't worry," Sheryl said, forcing a smile. She then gestured for Melissa and Nancy to

take a seat.

"I was so worried about you. I figured that you need someone to take care of you here. You probably

haven't eaten yet. We've cooked your favorite food for you," Melissa said rather tenderly.

Sheryl didn't want to refuse, so she took the food that Melissa handed to her.

Nancy was the one person who knew Sheryl's taste the best. Sheryl liked the food very much. She

raised her head and smiled subtly, "Thanks, Nancy."

"I'm glad you like it, Sher. Just keep eating." Nancy looked worried. She noticed that Sheryl had lost a NôvelDrama.Org © 2024.

lot of weight and looked quite pale.

"Okay."

Sheryl smiled and continued eating, feeling a little hungry now.

After she finished eating, Nancy and Melissa insisted on staying to chat with Sheryl, but she refused.

"I'm fine. Auntie, Nancy, you can go home now. You might get sick here, and you're just recovered,

Auntie. It might not be good for your health. You can go home and rest now," Sheryl said thoughtfully.

Melissa came here with a mission. She knew that she couldn't talk Sheryl into letting her stay, so she

just nodded and said, "Okay then. Nancy and I are leaving now. Please take care of yourself. We'll be

back in the afternoon to bring you food. Don't eat any food bought outside. It's not good for you."

Judging by Melissa's tone, Sheryl knew she couldn't refuse. If she refused then Melissa and Nancy

might not leave.

"Okay, I know. Don't worry."

Sheryl heaved a sigh of relief when Melissa and Nancy finally left.

Not long after, Sheryl's silence was disturbed again.

Isla arrived, and she brought her energy wherever she went.

"Sheryl, what exactly happened to you?" Isla asked Sheryl, her hands on her hips.

Sheryl knew then that she had to tell Isla everything. She shook her head and said, "Well, don't get

angry."

"I won't get angry if you tell me what happened between you and Damian. I just can't believe he

drugged you." Even though Isla didn't know Damian that well, she thought he wasn't that kind of

person.

Sheryl herself couldn't believe that Damian had done that, but there was proof. She'd tried calling him,

but he wasn't answering. She didn't know what to do anymore.

"Alright. Let's not talk about it. Look how miserable I am now. Do you really have the heart to be so

hard on me right now?" Sheryl knew that she couldn't win Isla in an argument, and she didn't want to

talk about it anymore. So she looked at Isla, hoping she'd take pity on her.
