The Contracted Ever After (Cordelia and Ronan)

Chapter 379

Chapter 379

These messages had all arrived in the wee hours of the morning.

Usually, Cordelia's phone was on silent mode at night, as she didn’t want to be disturbed during her

sleep. In the morning, she hastily got ready for class, without checking her phone. After class, she

rushed straight to grab lunch.

[Cordelia, you need to see what kind of man Ronan truly is. He's running me out of town! Does he even

care about our family anymore? Cordelia, you did right by divorcing him.]

this? I confronted him, damn, what a jerk.]

Adrian sounded extremely angry.

Since Cordelia had missed the best time to respond, it didn't make much sense to reply now.

Cordelia added Petra on Messenger. Petra appeared to have something to say to Cordelia, but in the

end, she didn’t, and they parted ways.

Unbeknownst to Cordelia, a dramatic scene had played out in the Lumos Enterprises CEO’s office

yesterday.

Adrian had also seen the news and was furious that Ronan had slept with Tabitha, the girl he was into.

Adrian felt humiliated. He had convinced himself that Ronan was intentionally antagonizing him, and, in

a fit of anger, stormed into Ronan's office.

"Ronan, what's your deal? I was just starting to fancy her, and you fucked her. You've got a wife and kid

already. Are you deliberately trying to cross me?" Adrian hollered in Ronan's office.

"She’s my ex-wife!"

Diverted by Ronan's three-word response, Adrian got even angrier. "Are you intentionally messing with

my family? You married Cordelia, then dumped her, and left her child behind. Then you gave me

money before taking it all back. I’m starting to suspect you had something to do with my mom's death!

Did you kill my mom?"

In Adrian's eyes, Cordelia had absolutely no reason to leave this wealthy family. The only possibility

was that Ronan and Cordelia divorced to facilitate his philandering.

Ronan ignored Adrian and called security.

As security escorted Adrian out, he ranted the same things he had said to Cordelia. Sadly, Cordelia

didn’t respond.

Now, Cordelia was increasingly worried about her child. She desperately wanted to see him. After

much thought, she sent a message to Janice. [Janice, is Callum doing alright? Could you send me a

few photos of him?]

When Janice received this message, she was rather uneasy. She knew Cordelia was missing her child;

she understood a mother's heart. But she was more afraid that Mr. Evans would be angry. If he found

out, he could take a more drastic stance, and Cordelia might never see her child again in this lifetime.

Janice decided to inform Ronan about this.

"Mr. Evans, Cordelia sent me a message. She wants to know about Callum’s well-being." After saying

this, Janice handed her phone to Ronan, letting him read the message.

Ronan glanced at the phone and snorted. He saw through Cordelia's thoughts. She probably thought

that Ronan was messing around and that he had unceremoniously stopped caring about her

completely. Cordelia probably saw him as a heartless and uncaring man!

Who was heartless and uncaring between Cordelia and Ronan? Cordelia must’ve been confused.

"She can see the child’s photos, but she has to exchange something for it." Ronan stated slowly,

handing Janice’s phone back to her.

“Exchange? What does she need to exchange?” Janice wanted to secure a chance for Cordelia to see

her child.

Although she felt that Cordelia’s sudden move to the USA was impulsive and irrational, Cordelia was a

mother. She had the right to see her child.

What Ronan was doing was undoubtedly too domineering!
